Open Your Hands And Let It Go

Truth:  Opening your hands do two things…  It releases you of the “old”and it frees you up to the “new”…

Here’s the truth…..

We’ve all done it, been found guilty of it, and some of you are still doing it.  Whether you believe it or not, we’ve all surrendered our power to someone or something….  It may be a parent, spouse, friend, family member, habit, drug, food, job, church, or even the person we hate to hear their name.  

When thinking of surrendering your power, your initial thought may be:  “I’ve never given anyone/anything control over me”.   The crazy thing about that thought bouncing around in your head is, YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE IT….  Did you know harboring anger surrenders your power?  Holding on to hurt surrenders your power?  Hoping someone will like you surrenders your power? Obsessively eating because of your problems surrender your power? Well if you didn’t know, now you know…  

Many of you have been hoodwinked to believe the only way to surrender your power is by allowing someone to tell you what, when, and how you should do something….  So you’ve lived your entire life attempting to validate your authority and command over your life….  Funny thing is you’re still controlled even in doing that (People who are in control don’t care what others think, they have nothing to prove)……   

“Anger”, “Hurt”, and “Resentment” are the three most underrated #CONTROL givers in the world….   Many have relinquished their power to the person who pissed them off years ago.   They’re holding on to the “anger” while the other person has moved on and not giving them a second thought……  

Then there are those who were hurt by someone dear. They’ve allowed the hurt to build a wall and as a result, everyone is measured by the mistakes of the person who caused the hurt.  They’ve relinquished their control by chaining themselves to a moment in which they cannot change…..  

And finally there are those who resent a parent for showing favor to a sibling, a spouse who acted improperly, or a friend who withheld information.  They’ve relinquished control by not forgiving, and now their relationships suffer because of it.  

The truth is….  We’ve all been hurt, upset, and some even broken, but holding on to the things we cannot change surrenders our power to it.  When harboring ill feelings we’re instantly placed in the role of the victim giving the act/thing/person control over our mind and life.  You may be wondering how you take your control back….  You take your control back by FORGIVING…..  

Forgiving unlocks the chains holding you to the act/thing/person…  It frees you from the moment you were hurt, pissed off, or broken to your lowest.  You take your control back by accepting you were hurt, processing and learning from it and releasing the hurt and hurter from your mind…  Will it be easy?  That’s up to you…  #MANUP…  Will it take long?  It will take as long as you let it……  #MANUP….  So what are we saying to you???  We’re saying “MAN UP AND LET IT GO”  #TAKEYOURCONTROLBACK
