Apply for affordable apartments for seniors and disabled at El Bethel Arms June 26-30

A piece of news important to our Black seniors, 62 and up —  the waiting list for affordable senior housing at the El Bethel Arms is opening up on MONDAY, June 26, at 9:00 to FRIDAY, June 30, at 5:00pm.  Applications can be picked up at the Arms main office, 1355 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA.  Only one application can be picked up per person, so whoever needs an application will have to come in person to get one — but, across the street at the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, volunteers will be providing assistance with the application on Monday through Friday, also 9-5.  El Bethel Church will also be providing stamps to assist with the mailing.

BEAR IN MIND — Applications must be MAILED back to El Bethel Arms, NOT DROPPED OFF, with a postmark deadline of JULY 3.  Waiting list spots are given first come, first serve — that is, in this case, FIRST MAILED IN, FIRST ON THE LIST IF ELIGIBLE, so the earlier applicants complete the application and mail it back in, the better.  Please spread the word to seniors and their supporters in the community!
