WTH: White children learning about nothing but African people

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Good morning,

Imagine you are in an area of the country that is mostly White. I’m sure you have a few of these areas around you no matter where you live. If you were in the Chicagoland area, you could be on the northside of the city or a place like Schomburg in the northwestern suburbs. It’s pretty affluent but has to be at least 95% White.

Now imagine you are in one of those local classrooms during school hours. All the little White children are sitting in their desks, ready for their instructions and lessons for the day. They have top of the line everything, all the best equipment, new books, smart boards, the whole nine we dream of our children having.

The teachers, administration, principals, deans, even the janitors are White, like the little boys and girls in the classroom. But now it is time for teachers to start presenting the information and she does as she typically does on any given day of the school year.

Only as she is going through her lessons, you notice everything being taught is about the accomplishments and greatness of Black people and everything we have contributed to the world. The images in the books, the videos they watch, the references they make are all about the greatness, contributions and achievements of the global African people.

White people and their contributions are only mentioned in passing and even in those occasions, it seems to be out of obligation, but not delivering any real value to the lessons given. Maybe if lucky they get a month where there is a little more focus on it!

Ok, let’s wake up from this pipe dream because that’s what it is, right?

There is no way in hell you will go into an all-White neighborhood, school district and community to find 97% of the teachings being about the greatness of the global African and/or Black people. Right?

In fact, if you found yourself in this mythical environment, you’d feel funny. You’d notice how awkward this was and probably even feel like something is wrong.

Right?

Hopefully, you are able to be honest with yourself in this moment because now I really want to ask you a question….

Why do you pretend this is normal when the color scheme is reversed?

We walk into our schools, full of Black teachers, administration, principals, deans, superintendents, judges, mayors, and citizens only to find a curriculum that is as White-washed as you’d expect to find in an all-White country.

However, we seem to be ok with this setup. We seem to think nothing of it, as if this is normal. As if the lessons being taught and the examples being used shouldn’t reflect the people of the community or at least a true representation of the contribution of everyone on this planet, not just that of White people.

What do you think this does to the minds of our children?

Can you imagine the blowback of the White parents if their children attended a school that only taught about the achievements of Black people? I could imagine they would literally burn the building down and start over.

Where is our outrage? Where is our pushback to this White-washed curriculum?

Ok, maybe we can’t and shouldn’t totally erase it, but we can do our part to ensure we are included. And if we can’t have it done in the school system, which almost seems hopeless in many areas, we need to do what we can at home to ensure our children know they come from a people that contributed much to the advancement of humanity in every field. This includes science, technology, engineering, arts, technology, and more.

However, if we allow our children only to learn what they are getting inside the walls of the school, then they will never know about the contributions of people that look like them. The contributions of people that come from the areas they do.

This is mission-critical

It is mission-critical because it tells the young developing mind what is possible for them. It lets them know that people that look like them, that struggled like them, can overcome to contribute much to their family, community and this world.

It is a great motivator in any child which is why White people, Chinese people, Indian people, pretty much every community makes sure their next generation has representation in their education. Like I said, if we can’t get it in our schools, then we have to stop making excuses and ensure our children get it at home… which is why we have made it our mission to create historical education products and tools designed to write Black people back into the pages of world history and into the hearts and minds of the community.

Our Black History Flashcards are great for any age child. If you have younger children, then name and facial recognition is the best way to expand the conversation and get them to know some of the giants of our people whom shoulders we stand.

If your children are older, then these flashcards are perfect because the bite-sized information inside of them easily explains the accomplishments of our best and brights that look like them and come from the same circumstances they face.

Even if you don’t have children or they are adults, we all can benefit from learning more about our culture and history. Because the truth is we haven’t been properly educated in these Whitewashed schools and have a lot to learn.

So, please accept this special offer from us to get our Black History Flashcards into your home, hearts, and minds of the next generation.

Four deck bundle ONLY $44.99 >> https://store.urbanintellectuals.com/shop/black-history-flashcards-vol-1-2-3-4-bundle/

Actually, they are not learning about black people, what they learn is fabricated information about black people.

Their true education about black people comes from actually being exposed to them. Which doesn’t exactly support what they are taught.

Are the Italians the same as the French? Are the Polish the same as the Germans?
No? they are all right there together, how about are the Brits & the Irish?
The point that I’m making is Black people here in America need to know who they are first.
Just because we are dark skinned like the Africans doesn’t mean that we are the same people.
They didn’t think we were the same people when they sold us to the Europeans.
ANd according to Scripture we came from Ur to Egypt.
So we look real foolish claiming to be the same people as our oppressors, that sold us into slavery to the Europeans.
That would be a good laugh at ou expense. Many are deceived at both ends of that spectrum!

Egypt wasn’t black, that is another attempt to change history that was shot down by genetic testing.
The Italians, French , Polish, and Germans all have two things in common, their genetic heritage and the fact they came from civilized societies that had culture and technological advancements.

The one thing all of them who came to America had in common is that they all adopted American culture and assimilated into society, and didn’t try to change it their own. Because they were intelligent enough and emotionally flexible enough to do so.
Which supports your point, just because Americans have genetics in other parts of the world doesn’t mean they ARE those people, they are not, they are Americans.
And are proud enough of being Americans and of their own accomplishments to call themselves Americans and not need some bullshit hyphenated designation to try to feel like somebody.
