Facebook stalker was ... a 12-year-old girl!

From DATELINE ZERO – This “facebook stalker” story is one of the more unsettling things that I have ever read about.

A 12 year-old girl was being sent sexually explicit material, and messages through her Facebook. She and her parents were having trouble figuring out where these communications were coming from, became fearful that she was being stalked, and contacted the police.

The Australian Federal Police ended up launching a month-long investigation. They successfully discovered the stalker’s indentity; and it’s another 12 year-old girl. Yikes!

The Sydney Morning Herald had this:

A mother’s fear that her 12-year-old daughter was being stalked by a paedophile on Facebook sparked an in-depth, almost month-long investigation involving the Australian Federal Police.

But police have been left dumbfounded by the discovery that the person who harassed and sent pornographic images to the girl via the site was another 12-year-old girl.

The Herald Sun reports that the messages included some pretty threatening material, and the 12 year-old stalker knew where the other 12 year-old lives. This is the stuff of nightmares for a parent.

The person also knew where the family lived and used the girl’s profile to post threatening messages on her mother’s profile.

One message read: “f***ing give me your daughters they love me and i love them, you know you cant keep me away from them forever! i am going to be with them they are the mother of my children.”

“i will find ur girls,” another post said.

It is not known how the girl’s account was hacked.

I can only imagine how dumbfounded the parents must have been when they learned that another 12 year-old girl was doing the stalking.

Makes me wonder what the hell this other girl could have been exposed to for this sort of behavior and language to come out of her?
