Ontario videographer captures footage of unicorn

From Dateline Zero - A videographer claims to have footage of a real unicorn galloping through the Canadian wild. I pasted the video below — it’s only 16 secs long.

The creature in the video isn’t at all like the rare Asian Unicorn. The film shows a fairytale-style pure white stallion galloping slowly across 16 seconds of footage.

And, yes, my instinct is to call it utter bullshit. We are living in a day and age where off the shelf software can allow any armchair filmmaker to depict an airplane landing on a highway, or children stumbling upon a fairy in while playing in the backyard. 

On the other hand, we are also living in a era where cloners and “genetic modifiers” are boldly flexing their muscles. Cloned cows and modified fish are being created for food.

These are all noble projects. However the recent activities of the cloning community reach far beyond creating a meal. They are seriously talking about resurrecting Neanderthals. Species thought to be extinct are suddenly being “resurrected,” and hundreds of new species have suddenly been “found.”

If this unicorn footage is found to be genuine, I am going to wonder …

Amateur video depicting what could be one of the most elusive legendary creatures, the unicorn, has been captured on film by a Toronto resident, reports the Ontario Science Centre.
“The video in question, shot by a local birdwatcher, Peter Hickey-Jones, shows what appears to be a white horse with a single horn on its head emerging from the trees in the Don Valley wetland.”

“Hickey-Jones brought the footage to the Ontario Science Centre to be analyzed by experts. The Science Centre is reviewing the footage frame-by-frame to determine whether Hickey-Jones’ claim is legitimate. With closer examination, Science Centre staff is hoping to establish whether or not a genuine unicorn sighting has occurred.”
