Royal Society “on extra-terrestrial life,” after the conference …

From Dateline Zero – News of the Royal Society’s conference titled “Towards a scientific and societal agenda on extra-terrestrial life” has been at a very slow trickle. I thought that there would be more media interest in this conference, partly because it is the 2nd one with an extraterrestrial theme this year.

More than that, I thought it would gain a bit more media interest because the UN’s Mazlan Othman was going to be there.

I think what happened was the msm got excited about the curious story of Othman being appointed to an official post of UN Earth Ambassador; but then found out that the story was inaccurate, and dropped it altogether. Unfortunately, there’s still a story there — and now news coming from the conference, which wrapped up last week, is hard to come by.
