It was a list of names of assets used by Western powers to fight the Russians in Afghanistan via the proxy of Islamic freedom fighters. There is no such thing as any organization by that name, however for convenience some groups may now assert alliance with that fictional entity, for prestige perhaps. What is truly astonishing is that it all worked so well, the creation of a fictitious entity to fight believed in by perhaps 80% of the world. The illusion took, and now the people believe.
