Tunisia: Bread, Circuses, and Main Stream Media Lies

All is not as it seems with the Tunisian Uprising, with Alphabet Soup Intelligence Agencies from the West causing trouble and the Tunisians desirous of an Islamic Caliphate in the Maghreb.

Those who have been following recent events in the Maghreb will know that something is afoot. Apart from the uprising in Tunisia, other countries are falling into chaos as well, but much of this is not hitting the Main Stream Media over here, as they busily try to keep the rest of us woefully uninformed as to the real events in the region. Unfortunately for the Main Stream Media, they no longer have the monopoly on news and current affairs, and we in the Alternative News Media have been following these events with great interest.

Before I go into the information I have for you today, I would like to do a quick overview of how these events have been reported in the Western Main Stream Media, so you can understand the disparity between what is being reported, and what is actually happening on the ground.

The Western Media has been very selective in what they report concerning all the events within the Maghreb. For a start they barely reported the copy-cat suicide-protests in Algeria and Egypt over the past week, and nor did they report upon the mass demonstrations in Algiers on Saturday. Instead, they concentrated on the more salacious stories, like how Leila Trabelsi ran off to Dubai with 1.5 tons of Tunisia’s gold (about £36million worth, or $43million US / €45million). Of course, this gold is likely to get laundered through either a Swiss bank account or at the Vatican Bank, but the Main Stream Media won’t tell you this.

All the Main Stream Media will tell you is that Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was overthrown due to civil unrest about rising food prices, high unemployment, and government corruption. This is no where near the complete truth. What the Main Stream Media will not tell you is that the Tunisian Uprising is part of a larger move to free the Maghreb from Western Control and their puppet dictators, and to form an Islamic Caliphate in the whole Maghreb.

As Hizb ut-Tahrir reported on the 15th of January, the protests in Tunis took on a far more religious overtone than reported in Western Media. The following video shows footage from the demonstrations and protests where the masses can clearly be heard calling for Islam and Khilafah, as well as accounting the rulers for their relationship with America and Israel:

To quote Hizb ut-Tahrir:

“…Some of the slogans that were used can be roughly translated as: “No recourse, no recourse! Khilafah is the only solution!”, “Khilafah! Khilafah! Khilafah!” , and “With our souls, with our blood, we shall sacrifices ourselves for you O Islam!” clearly implying that they were ready to face the full force of the security forces with their words and beliefs.

When Standing in front of soldiers (of the Tunisian army I imagine) they address “the Muslim armies” asking them “Where are you in Palestine?, Where are you in Iraq?” “Remove the chains of the rulers from your necks, and fulfill your duties!” “O Muslim armies, we are ready to be with you, with our blood, our souls, and our sons! Remove these oppressive regimes and support the appointment of one leader for all the Muslims!”

These images show that for these people, at least, this uprising has been their part in the non-violent struggle to liberate Muslims from colonial subjugation under puppet rulers, and replace them with Islam and the Khilafah…”

The Tunisian protesters are calling for “Al Khilafah” in the Maghreb, the formation of an Islamic Caliphate (‘Khilafah’ is where we get our word ‘Caliphate’ from).

Meanwhile, a few interesting developments within Tunisia have come to my attention that have either been suppressed from, or downplayed by, the Western Media. Namely, that of western intelligence services running around Tunisia, doing whatever nefarious missions they are currently up to.

The Telegraph reported on the 17th of January that a group of Swedish Boar Hunters got caught up in the demonstrations, and were quite badly beaten up before being arrested. Fortunately for them, they were later released and repatriated back to Sweden. Russia Today also did a video article on this:

Other sources within Tunisia and the Maghreb have suggested that these Swedish Boar Hunters were part of an international team of intelligence service agents working within Tunisia to make sure that the same power structures remain in place once the protests die down:

Notice how the two videos are recording the same incident, but from two different angles and time frames?

It could well be that these Swedes are innocents who got caught up in the protests while on a Boar Hunting expedition to Tunisia. It is boar hunting season over there, and many Europeans do go to Tunisia between December and January to hunt boars on the game reserves. The shotgun seen in the first video is the sort used to hunt boars, and not the sort of weapon that a Swedish intelligence agent would use.

Equally, this could be perfect cover for such agents. We shall never know the full truth of the matter.

What we do know is that the Maghreb is swarming with Western Intelligence Agents right now. Mossad have been known to carry out assassinations of key PLO members in Tunisia in the past, and the Tunisian President was known to turn a blind eye to such crimes. MI6 are currently operating within Morocco, and there is a lot of concern within the liberal media about British agents being implicated in the torture of “terrorist suspects” in Pakistan, as well as the Maghreb. French intelligence agents are naturally within Tunisia right now, as are the CIA. The last thing the Western Powers want is a successful Islamic Caliphate within the Maghreb or the Levant. Their forebears did use the First World War to destroy the Ottoman Empire, after all.

As the situation in the Maghreb develops further, we are likely to see more popular uprisings in Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, and even, Libya. Meanwhile, the Main Stream Media here in the West will continue with their campaigns of disinformation in order to keep us in the dark in Europe and America. As for this site, we will try to keep a balanced and fair reporting of the developing situation going, despite our difficulties in gaining clear, unadulterated, information from the Maghreb and Levant.
