Anna Chapman trademarks name

Former Russian spy Anna Chapman has moved to patent her name to protect her brand.

DATELINE ZERO – She’s become something of a celebrity since being deported from the U.S., with all the coverage that followed. In Russia, she has a television program, and does photo shoots.

However, not surprisingly, others are using her name and image to sell products. So she’s decided to trademark her name; protecting her name as a product.

Without a doubts, she’s been advised to make this move. I agree; everyone has a right, and perhaps even a responsibility, to protect his or her name. Gosh, even God passed a law forbidding the mis-use of His name. (Re-visit the 10 Commandments if you have no clue what I’m talking about.)
