By-product of Demon-cracy or Democracy?

While one can understand when nation is obsessed with corruptions/scams/scandals/frauds/bribery what nature of business they can offer and how some businessman bolster business deals with such nations.

However, if at top-level frauds/scams/corruptions are going on then every branch of civil authorities have to have some advantage to become LAW themselves?

This would not be first of its kind news but keeps surfacing on and off however, does it registers as “POLICE STATE”?

How even most revered democracy by Israel darling —> US darling —>  india  functions?

Since world’s largest demo-n-cracy has to have special powers to RULE over its people?

Again one wonders and asks prime question, what is the difference between democracy and demon—cracy ?

Yesterday’s incident of a security guard, posted at an ATM outside the office of the Punjab School Education Board in Phase VIII, being brutally beaten up allegedly by head constable Pavitar Singh has only reconfirmed the disturbing trend among the uniformed force.

Though the security guard was profusely bleeding in one of his ears, the case was hushed up by ‘forcing’ a compromise. The erring cop was let off only with a transfer to the police lines.

This was not an isolated incident. Many cases go unreported, as the victims dread to complain against the erring cops.

Few days ago, inebriated cops on the PCR duty signalled a scribe of a vernacular daily to stop near Amb Sahib gurdwara in Phase VIII.

Despite showing the documents of his vehicle, the scribe (who did not reveal his identity to the policemen) was taken to the Phase VIII police station. It was only after the scribe revealed his identity to senior police officials he was let off.

In another case, inebriated cops on the PCR duty had bashed up employees of a dhaba in Phase VII rehri market last year after the latter asked for food bill. With the help of cops from the 
Matour police station, the entire dhaba was ransacked and utensils were taken to the police station. The protesting shopkeepers were forced in to a 
compromise.

“The senior officials should conduct surprise checks during the night hours to see the highhandedness of the cops. At times the cops on night duty literally waylay motorists and most of the times it goes unchecked,” said Chetan Sharma, a resident of Phase VII.

SP (City) Harpreet Singh said regular checks were carried out by senior officials and whenever any such case came to light, appropriate action was taken.

Patiala, Feb 26: Perversion knows no boundaries and can even creep in to the minds of the so-called law enforcers in our country. This fact was proved right when news was out on how two sons of a former DSP in Punjab used their clout to make obscene MMSs of girls and women.

The case was brought to light when the police received a complaint from a girl accusing a youth of sexual exploitation. After detailed inquiry, the police found that the youth involved were Vajinder Singh and Maninder Singh, sons of dismissed DSP Gurjit Singh, who were involved in a sex racket and running a business of making obscene MMS clips.

The modus operandi was that the duo along with other members of the family ran a beauty parlour in Bathinda and with the help of its manager, Sarbjeet Kaur – who initiated physical relationship with the clients and later drugged them after taking them home. The MMS was made there and was used to blackmail them. Passiana SHO Amanpal Singh said, “After befriending girls, Vajinder and Maninder used to take them to their house at Patiala and serve them drug-laced drinks. After they fell unconscious the accused used to prepare their MMSes and blackmail them.”

The police recovered many MMS’ in the duo’s possession. A case has been registered and the victims are believed to be in the age group of 40 and hail from in and around Bathinda, including places like Ferozepur, Sangrur, Mansa and Patiala. “We have registered a case against the dismissed DSP, Gurjit Singh – PO in a murder case; his two sons Vajinder, Maninder and wife Jaspal Kaur. Gurjit was dismissed some years back after the registration of murder case,” SHO Amanpal commented on being asked about the details of the case.
