In this new shocking video, released by artist Sergio Coyote, of vomitstyle.com, all the turmoil of today’s world has come to life. But these images are not from today’s headlines. They are from a ten year old drawing based on a 2,000 year old text, The Book of Revelations. Mr. Coyote drew the 100 foot long work in 1999 in response to the Y2K hysteria of the turn of the century. However after the project was completed, the artist decided to hide the drawings away due to their disturbing nature.
Sergio Coyote says “As 2011 progressed I started seeing more and more images in the news that seemed to come from this drawing I did so many years ago. After the devastating earthquake in Japan, I Felt I no longer had the right to withhold them from the public. I thought, “People should see these”. And strange as it sounds I felt that they wanted to be seen.”
He explained, “when I drew these I just wanted to draw all the crazy stuff written in that book, I had no religious intentions, it’s just so visual and action paced.” Indeed the ten page book required 100 feet of paper to draw everything written in them. “Once they were done they were kind of scary, I thought they looked good and most people agreed, yet they were a bit off putting. Also I found that people assumed I was a crazy doomsday fundamentalist Christian, which I am not. However for an artist today, that kind of perception can ruin a career. So I put them away. The Brooklyn based artist, Mr. Coyote specializes in “vomit style” painting, in which he claims that he mentally controls the materials he uses to create the art with little or no help from his hand directly. He also claims this is the first ever full and complete illustration of the book of revelations in the history of Western Art. ”I highly recommend watching in full screen mode.”, he sang.

Does anyone edit these stories in any way? (Obviously not or I wouldn’t be asking…). For me, it is difficult to take anything seriously if the grammar and spelling are not what they “should be”, as it were…Obviously my issue.
I am not sure shocking is the best banner to put on this. Startling yes..this man has put images in this which are entirely contemporary – The tale of the Revelation is not a new one but the imagry here puts us in a very uncomfortable NOW. I understand his hesitation to post this. None the less, these image are not strangers to us and the blogs and chatter indicate a very clear awareness of these concepts. I would like to point out that even if everyone believes everything is about them, this is a unified theory here. This is about the planetary inhabitants. We are seeing much of this angst in the present. I gotta admit I am not a happy camper about the big city references but the woman with her two arms raised was just on the mark…no doubt about it. Follow the dots.

Before you try your hand at Greek, you might want to study the English language a bit more. This story was horrendously full of misspellings and bad grammar. The quotes of an illiterate don’t motivate me to watch any other garbage he might be offering.
It’s a shame that the OP decided to publish this here. It’s just a series of rather poor drawings of one person’s interpretation of the Book of Revelations. It was neither shocking nor revelatory. To be interesting you’d need to bin the guitar music (despite the fact that it was very good) and do a voice over linking each picture to the artist’s interpretation and the global even to which he believes it can be compared.

This is not shocking at all. It’s banal and the imagery is childish at best. I couldn’t get through it without ffwding, hoping to see something interesting. At least some reference to the text would have been helpful. I want my 5 minutes back please.

I found the drawings to be quite interesting. Anyone who has studied revelation has there own idea of the apocalypse. If you know the entire story, there is no need to be frightened at all. Does anyone have information on the music that accompanied the video?

This is the 3rd helping of these drawings, each time the BS story is different.
It should be noted here that the Reporter is L Coyote and he is reporting on paintings done by Sergio Coyote, or elcoyote. I question the Second Person Singular point of view, and question the motives of the author of this story and his relationship to the painter.

What gives Chris? Looks like numbers on my articles are getting tweaked. Is this accidental? Not that I really care about the numbers but come one… isn’t your website governed by an algorithm that determines featured stories by number of viewers? Here is an example of what i’m talking about…notice the timestamps on the page headers and the reader counts.
Obviously not reflecting the same amount of readers at the same time. I think this deserves some attention and an explanation. I’m hoping it’s just an innocent error. We wait on the edge of our seats!
