UK Media reported that a young British tourist couple has been arrested by DHS and barred from entering the U.S. after joking on Twitter that they were going to ‘destroy America’ and ‘dig up Marilyn Monroe’.

Leigh Van Bryan, 26 yrs old, was put in a cell with Mexican drug dealers for 12 hours after his landing in the city of Angeles with his girlfriend Emily Bunting.
The DHS flagged them as a potential terrorist threat when he posted a thrilled tweet to his friends about the trip he envisaged to undertake to Hollywood, which read: ‘Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America?’
Regardless of the fact that they were explaining to the DHS agents that the term ‘destroy’ was a British-English slang for ‘party’, the couple was detained on suspicion of planning to ‘commit crimes’, their names were put on the terrorist watch list and their passports confiscated.
