The word beholden means to be obligated to; indebted to as form of bondage as an indentured servant would be.

What’s the deal with Google’s crazy augmented reality glasses?

While the lofty technology is far from market-ready at the moment — a launch by the end of 2012 looks very unlikely — the glasses are very much real. There are reportedly many models, ranging from a Star Trek-inspired visor to a design that “sits over a person’s normal eyeglasses.” And Google employees will actually be testing them in the wild, so don’t be alarmed if you bump into a seeming cyborg near the company’s Mountain View headquarters.

Reality becomes more akin to science fiction as augmented reality gains traction all over the world

Augmented Reality – A type of virtual reality that combines real and imagined images in a real-time session. In augmented reality, most of the images are real. For example, Sportvision’s 1st and Ten graphics system superimposes a yellow line onto the football field showing TV viewers where the yard line for a first down is located.

First it was gaming.  The it was mobile devices.  Then it became your automobile.  Now, with the Google Glasses it is your eyes feeding into your brain.

If these devices can cause you to see, and believe, something is there that is not there how long before the mind loses its perception of reality?

Isn’t the conspiracy theory Project Blue Beam (a false projection of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddah, Krishna, etc., that will merge into one "messiah" that deceives millions and paves the way for the One World Religion) dependent upon the concept of a virtual reality perceived as real by a worldwide audience?

I am not saying this is true or untrue but the elements of the information disseminated almost 20-years ago seems more accurate now then ever before.  Listen to what Serge Monast believed: One of Monast’s articles stated that Blue Beam will occur in four stages.

1: a series of artificially created earthquakes at “certain precise locations on the planet,” which will uncover archaeological evidence that will “be used to discredit all fundamental religious doctrines.”

2: we will be subjected to “a gigantic space show.” This will involve “three-dimensional optical holograms and sounds, laser projection of multiple holographic images to different parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to predominating regional national religious faith. This new ‘god’s’ voice will be speaking in all languages.” These staged events will show the “new Christ” or Messiah, and will be a false Second Coming.

3: will be the “Telepathic Electronic Two-Way.” This involves “telepathic and electronically augmented two-way communication where ELF, VLF and LF waves will reach each person from within his or her own mind.” These communications will fake a communication from god. (note: these are actual being worked on by the military industrial complex)

4:( according to Monast) “the universal supernatural manifestation with electronic means.” This would be done in three specific “orientations.”

One would simulate an alien invasion, which would then provoke nations with nuclear weapons to strike back. Then, once the U.N. demonstrates that the invasion was false, it would “require” the offending nations to disarm. “And how will the United Nations know that the invasion was false? They will have staged it, of course.”

The second element of Blue Beam‘s alleged fourth stage “is to make the Christians believe that the Rapture is going to occur.” This will involve “the supposed divine intervention of an alien (off-world) civilization coming to rescue earthlings from a savage and merciless demon. Its goal will be to dispose of all significant opposition to the implementation of the New World Order in one major stroke, actually within hours of the beginning of the sky show!”

Let’s give a full quote of Monast regarding the final phase of the fourth stage.

The third orientation in the fourth step is a mixture of electronic and supernatural forces. The waves used at that time will allow “supernatural forces” to travel through optical fibers, coaxial cables (TV) electrical and phone lines in order to penetrate to everyone at once through major appliances. Embedded chips will already be in place. The goal of this deals with global Satanic ghosts projected all around the world in order to push all populations to the edge of hysteria and madness, to drown them into a wave of suicide, murder and permanent psychological disorders. After the Night of the Thousand Stars, worldwide populations will be ready for the new messiah to re-establish order and peace at any cost, even at the cost of abdication of freedom.

These “far fetched” conspiracy theories were presented by Monast in 1994.  LONG BEFORE the technology explosion of the last few years and the promulgation of an “alien gospel” by movies, television and science.

This can (and in my opinion) will become a matter of what goes into the eye making the person beholden to the image, the perception and response to that image.

Am I only one who see the danger of subliminal programming and behavior modification seeping into the mix here?!
