Corrupting The Language To Kill Liberty

In the United States of America, the federal government can order you not to grow food for yourself. This is not hypothetical because the government did fine and punish a farmer for doing exactly that, growing wheat for his own use. Does anyone believe our Founders ever intended the federal government to have that kind of power or envisioned any circumstances that would justify that type of power? Thanks to ObamaCare going to the Supreme Court, many people have become familiar with the Supreme Court decision in Wickard v. Filburn and the corruption of the commerce clause of the Constitution that had to take place to reach that decision. That decision is the linchpin of government tyranny over the free market today, whether it’s light bulbs, automobiles, toilets or healthcare. The twisting road that led to Wickard v. Filburn is unremarkable. As is usually the case, government creates or exacerbates a crisis and then offers a solution that grants government more power.
