If Not Now, Then When? If not us, Then Who?

Freedom is alive! It is struggling against the bonds of Tyranny at this very moment on the streets of Cairo and Alexandria. Thousands of voices take to the street and refuse to capitulate to the demands of the Government.  Freedom stands on the armor of tanks rendering them useless!  Freedom burns in the heart of each and every person who is tired of having their leaders stand on their backs and continue to accumulate wealth while they suffer in the process.

Patriots of freedom have now shown what the people can do. These individuals have shown us here in the United States that Resistance is the key to gaining liberty and freedom. Egyptians are reminding Americans of what our own founders did in the name of personal freedom and liberty.  Egyptians are also sending a clear message to our own leaders here in the United States that they will no longer tolerate a policy of support by the United States of a dictatorship.

Our leaders have, for the entire 30 year reign of this dictator, supported and helped to prop up his regime. The United States of America has some of the largest military bases outside of the United States in the region around Egypt.  We have turned a blind eye to the atrocities against civil liberty and basic human rights by the regime, in order to maintain a massive military presence in the country. Our cozy relationship with this dictatorship has allowed the U.S. to use Egypt to disappear some of our own political dissenters and suspected terrorist. I am sure the politicians on the hill, and indeed the White House, were  actually sweating bullets over the events in Egypt despite their calm demeanor. 

Egyptians citizens are tired of the restrictions to their freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to descent. Egypt’s government reacted by shutting down the internet, social communication networks and cellular service to try and break up the revolt. The only reason that the Government could do this is because they controlled all the access points. If leaders here in the United States have their way, legislature is being drafted and passed to allow our Government to also shut down our communications at will. One wonders what they may be afraid of. Is it the terrorists, or is it really us they fear?

Most Americans are not ready to face the fact that the same things that these Egyptian people are so tired of, is happening right here in the United States. All the while the fake leaders in the United States stand up and say that they support free speech, freedom of press, and civil liberties, while passing laws to curtail each and every one of those rights and liberties that Americans once had!

Most Americans are not ready to accept that the protests in the streets of major Egyptian cities are possible here in the United States. Egyptians have shown Americans something that they have collectively forgotten; freedom and liberty are not free, you must fight for them!

Americans must take an important lesson from those on the streets of Cairo. We must collectively take note of the results of what a motivated population can do. Fear not all the propaganda that is being spewed on the Mainstream media as I write this and you read it. See what is going on in Egypt  and the rest of the world for what it really is; people, who are tired, fed up, frustrated, and totally disassociated with their leaders for their blatant abuse of the population, and total police state control enforced on them.

Americans need to take to heart the plight of the Egyptian people for it is not that different from our own. We have a total Police State control grid already erected and ready to crack down on the first sign of resistance from the American civilian population to the totalitarian measures implemented in our nation over the last 30 years.  We are in the grips of an unemployment rate the likes of which have not been seen since before WW II. Americans are subjected to communistic style legislature, and leaders who have consigned away a vast amount of our civil liberty in the name of security.

Our great leader of change has driven use even further into the Orwellian world that Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr plunged our nation into.

Resistance is the key. Egyptians have only shown us what we have forgotten; the power truly does lie with the people!

If we are to ever restore all of our civil liberties and freedoms, we must again resist.

We must again, peacefully refuse to obey.

We must remind our leaders that we are the people, and we do hold the power.

We are legion.

You are not alone.

You are the Resistance!
