The possibility of the two parties that backed Greece’s new bailout combining their forces was undermined by a collapse in their support, particularly in the case of PASOK. The Socialists suffered a drubbing around the country and looked to have been beaten into third place by the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) with what could be PASOK’s worst ever showing at the ballot box.

That would make the group – which denies it is neo-Nazi – one of the biggest winners in an election where the main conservative and Socialist parties are taking a drubbing over their support for a bailout tied to austerity measures.

Flanked by burly, muscular men in tight black t-shirts, Golden Dawn leader Nikolaos Mihaloliakos marched down the street in Athens yelling «liars» and «You must be ashamed for all your lies!» at foreign journalists following him. “Greece is only the beginning,» he shouted at them. Disastrous council election results in Britain are piling growing pressure on Prime Minister David Cameron with Tory rebels signaling a ‘vote of no confidence’, local media reported.

Outspoken critics from within his own ranks have already launched a string of verbal attacks on Cameron and his coalition government with Conservative rebel Nadine Dorries, MP for Mid-Bedfordshire, saying that there was a strong chance the Prime Minister would be out by Christmas, British media reported.

“They were really angry about the referendum debate on the EU when David Cameron said we would have a referendum in/out of the EU before the election. He has since reneged on that promise as well as repealing the Human Rights Act where we are not able to kick out undesirables from our country. He should never get elected in any constituency again, he is a liar and a fraud”, said the MP for Mid-Bedfordshire.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s centre-right coalition lost power in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, first estimates showed Sunday, after a vote that could presage national elections next year.

The big winners on the night were the Pirates, an upstart party that has shaken up the staid world of German politics with a campaign based on more transparency in the political process and internet freedom. For the third consecutive regional election, they breached the five-percent mark needed to enter the state parliament, winning 8.2 percent of the vote.

In countries that have free and fair elections, which sadly does NOT include America but now does include Syria, elections require paper ballots in clear Lexan ballot boxes, public counting of the votes first at each voting location with immediate posting of results there, and the voters being required to dip a finger in special ink that will not be washed off. What we have in America and many other nations, with mail in ballots and on-line ballots and voting on computers and computer counting of ballots is simply a total fraud…it cannot be made secure and that is why it is being used!
