This is a good example of the Prophecy community in the Christian world right now.

The constant excessive concentration on what is going on in the darkness without offering any Light to dispel that darkness is driving people into a fearful state just like in this video clip from The Wizard of Oz. What starts out as a simple answer to a simple question becomes a paranoid fear building mantra very quickly.

All of the prophetic warnings of Matthew 24 and Luke 21 were to forewarn the follower of Messiah Yeshua of His Return.  The Signs of the Times were not to be the focus of the Believer.  The Signs were meant to inspire and encourage the Believer.  The focus was meant to be the unexpected Return of the Son of Man and their Redemption.

Do I write or share about the Signs and the actions of the power of darkness?  Sure I do but I do it with the intent and purpose of inspiring people to have “eyes to see”.  However, when this effort to expose the enemy also creates a spirit of fear in less mature Believers I have to cry “foul”.  Exposing the darkness without emphasizing the Light and how to live in that darkness profits no one – except the presenter who then sells books , DVDs and survival materials to the fearful person.  Some have turned this effort into a machinery of paranoia and fear mongering for profit and personal gain.

I was born and raised in NYC.  It is one of the largest, busiest and, at time, most dangerous places in the world.  If my upbringing only included all the dangers hiding around every corner or across every street I would have been bound by fear and stayed inside without ever venturing out.  Instead, I was taught how to navigate the busy streets, crowded subway trains and to be wary of the potential criminals.  As a child living in the jungles is taught how to forage for food, play and live in the midst of ferocious predators I was taught how to live in a big city.  Because of that preparation I could ride the subway trains alone by age 12 and although experiencing petty crime from petty criminals escaped any serious harm.

That’s what we should be doing as teachers and leaders in the Christian community.  We should be alerting people to the dangers of these Last Days so that they can live productive, victorious spiritual lives.  To do that we need to spend more time on the Word – Living and written.  From what I am seeing from most in the prophecy community is just the opposite.  Spending hours upon hours on the works of the enemy and sprinkling a few scriptures on it at the end cannot please the Lord or His Holy Spirit.  Why would it?  Giving 90% of the time to the enemy and how successful they are and 10% to the Lord is backward.  I challenge my brothers and sisters out there at the forefront of the prophetic community to change the focus off of the darkness and on to the Light.

I know this probably won’t make me too popular with many in the forefront of that community but, to be blunt, I do not care. Although some have tried to label me a watchman I am not a watchman.  Yes, I do see what is coming and alert others to what I see.  However, I am out there in the trenches, on the battlefield fighting with them and for them.  I don’t just watch.  I do.  And my goal is to inspire the Remnant to do the same.

We are in a battle for the souls of the lost and dying, make no mistake about that.  The enemy has waited 1000s of years for this moment in time.  But, so have we!

This is not their moment it is OUR moment.  It is the moment He pours out His Spirit upon us in a way not seen since the Upper Room.  It is the moment He empowers us to destroy and plunder the kingdom of darkness of their most valuable possessions – the souls of nonbelievers and the human trophies of spiritual backsliders. It is our moment to show the world whose God is GOD!

It’s our moment to lift up our heads and look up!
