It’s getting dark out there so we are leaving the LIGHT on!

Darkness is simply the absence of light.
It is not a power unto itself.
It is a power only when light is not available.
The darkness of evil exists as well only when there is no Light.
No matter what the denizens of darkness boast, once the Light comes on they scurry like roaches in a rundown apartment. And, when that Light is caused by the Person and Power of Yeshua/Jesus of Nazareth they also beg and whine about their fate. I know because I’ve heard them.
28 When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. 29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
Such is the Power of the Light of the Lord!
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (emphasis added)
Having said that, when I read articles like these over the last few years:
Deputies: Brevard mother killed her 4 children, then herself
Horrific: Mother kills, eats baby in Texas
Mother Kills Baby for Crying, Interrupting Farmville
Baby Killed In Microwave: Ka Yang, California Woman, Arrested (4 other similar murders mentioned in the article)
Nurse charged with capital murder in mother killing, baby abduction
I have to begin to suspect that if darkness is thriving in the world then there must be a lack of Light. There is no other explanation.
Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV) Walk in Light
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. (emphasis added)
Philippians 2:15 (NKJV)
15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, (emphasis added)
It’s time for those who believe in the King of kings and Lord of lords to act like it.
It’s time to stop fearing the darkness and to praise the Light.
And if we praise the Light we will shine the Light.
So into the darkness we go to shine and make them whine.
When the LIGHT is ON the darkness is GONE!
