It’s vital to remember that those of us in the states do not have more rights than those in Cuba. We all have the same rights. The same is true for the individual born on a piece of dirt claimed by a criminal outfit that calls itself the “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” or the “Republic of Belarus”. The difference is the extent that criminal gang usurps our rights; More precisely, the actions which they claim the “legitimate” right to do, and that people allow them to get away with. The truth is, those folks have no more authority to engage in rights-violating actions than do you or I.

Only when we each internalize and act according to that fact – see that the emperor wears no clothes, see past the charade that some strangers can better run our lives or spend our money than we each can, recognize the double-speak that sugar-coats actions (likening theft as taxation, or kidnapping as arresting) – will the widespread unaccountability cease.
