The ETERNAL Question

Jesus asked his disciples, “But who do YOU say that I am?” Who is Jesus? For 2,000 years that question has rocked the world. It is still the leading debate in the religious, scientific, historic and philosophical worlds of opinion.

The problem is that Jesus claimed to be “God, The ONLY way to Heaven, The One Who gives eternal life, The One Who saves, One with the Father, If you have seen me you have seen the Father, etc.” SO – Jesus cannot be dismissed as a mere “good man, or a wise prophet, or a great miracle worker, etc.” He simply never claimed to be any of those things.

Accordingly, Jesus was either a demon possessed person (The Pharisees accused him of being such), a deceiver of the highest magnitude, or a delusional personality beyond description. However, how many demon possessed liars and crazy people have you ever heard of that could open the eyes of the blind, raise the dead, cause the lame to walk, cause the leper to be healed, open the ears of the deaf, willing lay down his life for others, and raise himself from the dead and show himself to many hundreds of witnesses? None? That’s right – none. Except one. ONLY one…Jesus.

You can dismiss him for a deceiver, a demon, or a delusional person if you wish – but the evidence is overwhelmingly against you. Rather – the ONLY possibility left is that HE IS EXACTLY WHO HE SAID HE WAS…The Lord of Glory!

Jesus asked his disciples – “Who do men say that I am and who do YOU say that I am?” Peter said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of The Living God!” Jesus told him – “You know Peter – man did not reveal this to you – the world will not declare me to be such – but the Holy Spirit of God revealed this to you – only the Father in heaven would put this answer in your heart!” (Paraphrased).

Jesus was not a liar, he was not a lunatic – he is The Lord!
