The Israeli woman must be in the blue so that the IDF does not mistake her for a Palestinian woman whom his leaders say he would still treat with the utmost respect since she is both civilian and woman.

Photos in the news usually depict a Hamas fighter with civilians around him and say, “Hamas with human shields”. Upon closer inspection you will see these are bored or interested civilians are milling about, not bound or fearful looking captives. They are there because there is really nowhere to hide or just want to see and be part of the action. Most are young males. In a place as crowded as Gaza, it is impossible to wage war without civilians being nearby. The place is jam packed with people everywhere.”
