Ohio Cop Block Admin Jailed For a Shipping Error, Homeland Security Intercepted Package

For those of you not familiar with Cop Block, they are a group that has pioneered police accountability in the age of the internet.

With branches all over the country, and a popular website, this loose knit organization has not only spread the word about filming police and defending private property against bureaucrats, but they have also become an extremely reliable alternative media source when it comes to issues of police brutality and accountability.

Recently the administrator for the Ohio chapter of Cop Block was arrested after a banned substance was shipped to his house.  The only thing is, Jacob Frost, the Cop Block admin who is now in custody, never ordered the substance to begin with, it was sent to his house instead of a legal substance that he actually did order, due to a shipping error, but still he remains incarcerated.

The write-up below by Eric Freerock was originally posted to ohiocopblock.org on Nov. 21st, 2012:

“An admin at Ohio Cop Block, Jacob Frost, has been sentenced to a “community-based corrections facility” after pleading no contest to a charge of “attempted possession” for having been shipped the banned substance methylone.  Methylone, a new designer amphetamine originally patented in 1996 as an antidepressant, was banned only back in October 2011 by the DEA, in an emergency ban.

The kicker?

He didn’t actually order methylone.

Frost ordered what was, at the time, a legal synthetic marijuana derivative when the package was intercepted at the airport. Once the package was intercepted the government agents from Homeland Security, “an anticipatory search warrant” was issued for the pending entrapment and kidnapping. The package was then loaded onto a DHL truck and sent out for delivery to Frost’s home. Except that’s not where the package originally ended up. DHL mistakenly delivered the package to a flower shop, they opened the package before the mistake was realized. The package was reacquired by the government and then redelivered, enough agents to take down a small Mexican cartel arrested Frost once the package was obtained.

Ohio Cop Block has set up a fund to send money to Jacob’s commissary account if you’d like to send him a few bucks you can send donations to [email protected] through PayPal. No one has been able to talk to him yet so we have yet to find out what items he may be in need of while he’s caged by the state.Under threat of a federal indictment Frost agreed to plea no contest to the charges, in hopes of avoiding a federal case and receiving at most a fine and probation. Instead, he was sentenced to 4-6 months in the “community-based corrections facility” or 2-3 years in prison. As of now, Frost is being held in Huron County jail awaiting acceptance/transfer into the CBCF program, we’re still waiting to find out exactly how much time and where he’ll be serving his sentence.

More information will be provided as we get it, the involvement of Homeland Security against a cop block activist is rather interesting.”

As the write up mentioned in closing, it seems as if the Department of Homeland Security may have been monitoring this young mans mail because of his activism and connection with Cop Block.

People who want to support Frost but don’t have the means to do so financially can still help by getting the word out about this story and letting people know whats going on with Cop Block and this specific arrest.
