This Depressing NBC Segment On Staten Island Could Change The Way The World Sees Hurricane Sandy

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Joe Weisenthal * Business Insider

As someone watching the Hurricane Sandy devastation from afar, the storm appears to have been brutal, while the response seems to have been okay.

However, if you look at NYC from a non-Manhattan centric viewpoint, things look even worse.

This NBC segment on the situation this week on Staten Island is awful, and makes the response look horrible.

The same media that crucified bush for his katrina failure is giving obozo a free ride for the chaos of sandy. Why doesn’t obozo us his “community organizer” skills to clean up this mess?

THE NEW YORK AREA IS LUCKY………..THIS IS NO NEW ORLEANS. THIS WAS A TEST. AND THEY ARE TESTING YOU NOW. OPEN YOUR EYES SHEEPLE. YOU IN THAT AREA ARE SUPPPOSED TO BE THE STRONGEST IN NATURE BUT EVEN THE ELITE CAN BREAK YOUR SPIRIT. THEY HAVE SOMETHING ELSE PLANNED FOR YOU GUYS THAT IS MORE DEVASTATING THAT THIS SMALL STORM. STRENGTHEN UP …..YOU WILL NEED IT FOR ROUND 2. WE IN THE COUNTRY ARE BY YOUR SIDE IF THEY TRY SOMETHING FUNNY AGAIN.

Unreal…I know that their lives have been devastated with this hurricane, but did they learn nothing from the devastation of hurricane Katrina or BP’s Macondo Well in the Gulf? Did they not look on the FEMA site about emergency supplies? Many of the Katrina victims have still not gotten their financial help and probably never will. Stop your whining New York and start taking care of yourselves! You are all you’ve got.

Keep a close watch on Kenneth (Ken) Feinberg. He has been in control (financial payout czar) for Katrina victims, 9-11 victims, and BP Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf victims. The one thing all these victims have in common is many have still not been paid.

You have no flood insurance, no food, no water, no shelter, no infrastructure to speak of in your cities and boroughs. You have filthy water in your homes and on your streets. Water borne illnesses will happen…cholera and God only knows what else. Start neighborhood committees to protect yourselves and your families and leave if you have the chance. It is better to start over poor than dead.

Prophecy from many sources about this event have been around for many years. The prophecy was that New York would be underwater and never become what it once was. In my opinion it is time to leave, especially if gangs of thugs are roaming the streets and dead bodies are being found in devastated homes, buildings, and waterlogged streets.

I remember when the storms blew through the South. My city was spared but we had no water or electricity and no cell service for days. It was hard. The hardest thing was not knowing what was going on. You feel so isolated because you have no access to information. That was harder than doing without the food. After a couple of days of eating snack food you don’t really feel like eating anyway. The water was the worst thing. I could live without electricity even though it was really hot, but the water, it really does keep everything going.

Good luck to all of you! And for the ones who got off easy….. It’s hard not to magnify your troubles because that’s all you see in the moment, but so many others lost everything, be thankful and go meet your neighbors!!
