Bi-partisan immigration scheme is pure BS

Amnesty measure bypasses AZ legislature, Kyl opts for deferring to congress

Are you onboard with sanity?  Before you nod in the affirmative, the newest amnesty scheme officially christened Solution to Federal Immigration Reform, oddly carries the acronym SANE. The daily tells us, via a front page article requiring four reporters to crank it out, that it’s a bi-partisan deal — aimed at  “continuing to strengthen border security and focus on immigration enforcement but also letting illegal immigrants earn legal status and revamping the nation’s visa system so immigrants can come legally to fill labor demands.”

In other words, AMNESTY. That would have been a much more honest acronym.

The report says, “The plan has the bipartisan backing of several prominent elected officials, including Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery, a Republican, and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, a Democrat, as well as from retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.” Another liberal, who finds it appealing, is U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor who says he likes the coalition’s ideas and is willing to work with the group.

Jon Kyl, who has been replaced in the U. S. Senate by Jeff Flake, has nothing to lose in once again offering amnesty to those illegally in our country.  Flake, who doesn’t answer to the electorate again for six long years, has been a vocal supporter of amnesty until his campaign-based switcheroo — earning  him the momentary wrath of the pro-open-borders newspaper — a blatant bit of trickery he learned from his mentor John McCain . And speaking of the senior senator, his name is mysteriously missing from the duplicitous crowd.

The main thrust of the article is that “this coalition of elected officials, business leaders and civic activists wants to end Arizona’s reputation as a leader of enforcement-only measures [such as what the newspapers refers to as “controversial Senate Bill 1070,”] by offering a broader solution that acknowledges the contributions of illegal immigrants and the role immigrants play in the economy.”

Unveiled Wednesday, this so-called “immigration reform” already has been received favorably by U.S. Sen.-elect Jeff Flake, described in the article as poised to become a key player in the coming debate. Barack Obama views amnesty as top priority — since his imposition of the DREAM Act directive halting deportations preceding the November election, put him over the top with Hispanic voters.

“This shows that the adults of Arizona are standing up, and let’s all hope the adults can marginalize people like Jan Brewer and Joe Arpaio and others who have really saddled Arizona with the reputation of being anti-immigrant and anti-Latino,” said Frank Sharry, executive director of America’s Voice, a Washington, D.C.-based immigrant advocacy group.

In yet another piece of the deception, the plan outlines four steps for addressing the massive national problem of illegal immigration: “strengthen border security, account for the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants by requiring them to register with the federal government, revise the nation’s visa system and enforce immigration laws.”

The bogus calculation of 10 – 11 million illegally in the U.S. has been in use for a decade. A more accurate count is at least 24+ million who have invaded our country. Undocumented? Not quite.  Illegal aliens have plenty of documents – forged, counterfeit, and stolen. For years, John McCain has made a mantra of “secure the border first.” The open-ended statement has always begged the question, “First…before what?”

Now we see.
