The Federal government, has no jurisdiction in State Law Enforcement issues. The states have the final say, as to whether they wish to ban their Sheriff’s positions.
One other thing, Most people don’t realize, that the State’s National Gard, is under the direct control of the Governor, not the President, not even Congress, has the power to activate the Gard of any state!
