BABS TUCKER’S HUNGER STRIKE FOR PEACE

Thank’s to our corrupt mainstream media, not many people are aware of this story and so I feel I must do my part in helping to promote it. 

Barbara Tucker is a peace campaigner who has lived in parliament square at an anti-war protest camp for many of the last ten years. She stood alongside legendary peace campaigner Brian Haw until he sadly passed away last year. It is obvious to any onlookers with a heart that the cold conditions on the streets of London are what caused Brian’s untimely death. Brian was and still is a true british hero and I for one will do all I can to ensure his memory lives on.

Now to the matter in hand. Over 1 year ago London police illegally stole all the tents from the peace camp in parliament square, leaving the remaining protesters to freeze in the capitals cold evenings. This is a tactic by the police and the government to end the protest and force the activists to go home. However many of them, including Babs Tucker have chosen to stay and continue their protest regardless.

The police and the courts are now refusing to give the protesters their tents back and so essentially are condeming them to die on the streets in this very cold winter.

Babs completely understands their game and so, instead of waiting for a slow death in the cold, she started a hunger strike just before christmas, and plans on continuing until the authorites give the tents back or she dies.

She posted an update today on her website:

“Gentlemen,

As you know, Wednesday January 16th 2013, which will be DAY 21 of my Hunger Strike, will – also – be the anniversary of when our shelter was taken without our being prosecuted within twenty eight days, as required under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.

Freedom of Expression is at the core of and fundamental to any – decent – society.

After all, how can you have a decent and civilised society if people cannot, as a starting point, speak out, to protect life ?”

Now given the structure that I actually use to sleep in is called my body, while a tent is used for warmth and shelter and – both – are necessary for my very survival, you are now required to go on public record and explain, so that it can be challenged in court…

a) …why having a tent for my survival is not an adequate “reasonable excuse” for you under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 ?

b) and if having a tent to …survive !!!! is not considered a “reasonable excuse” under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, then please explain what exactly the government does consider a “reasonable excuse” for having a tent under their Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.

There is after all no ban on having a tent, gentlemen.

Given that anyone with my blood pressure (that a reasonable person would know 47 “arrests” and a year without shelter in all weathers with constant state harassment involving sleep deprivation would cause), should not be caused any further unnecessary harm, written answers, copied to Birds Solicitors are required by 5pm on Wednesday January 16th 2013.

Then we can progress matters.

I trust you remember that as agents of the state, you have a “duty of care“.

Please do everything you can to make people aware of what is happening here, share this article and help convince the British government to have a heart and stop this woman from freezing to death or dying from lack of food intake. I thought protest was a healthy part of democracy?
