I wouldn’t put much faith on person who promised to return “quickly”…2000 years ago. Not to mention that he promised the people of his generation wouldn’t die until they see his return. Again, that was 2000 years ago.
Or what about his prophecy that his disciples wouldn’t have time to go through all the cities of Israel until he returns? Either the cities of Israel are mind bogglingly vast (likely located in a another dimension as there’s not enough space on Earth to house cities that huge) considering this prophecy was made 2000 years ago, or Jesus was, again, lying. Or how about his promise, that his disciples could perform all the miracles he did, and more?
