They're Coming to Take Our Guns Away, Ha-Haaa!

You may recall the 1966 cult-classic by Napoleon XIV titled, “They’re Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa.” The lyrics of that song describe an individual who is out of his mind and who is being taken “to the funny farm” and to “the loony bin” so he can be attended to by “those nice young men in their clean white coats.”
The subject of the song is simply considered a danger to society, a menace if you will, crazy, and unable to make rational decisions on his own. He’s unreasonable and refuses to conform to the society around him.
Enter today’s debate over guns. Obama, Biden, and the rest of the political left are using similar language and characterizations in their description of gun owners. Theirs is a coordinated effort to paint American gun owners as crazed, government-hating lunatics, whose guns, used for sport, recreation, and defense are somehow a great danger to our society, potential Adam Lanzas or Jared Loughners.
Of course, this should come as no surprise. Recall Barack Obama’s description of middle-class voters and the challenge he faced in getting their votes way back in 2008, “It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Today’s push by the leftist media has managed to raise the insult level even higher recently. Take Carol Costello of CNN for example. On December 27th, in questioning NRA President David Keene, she shared this comment from her Facebook page, “Why is the NRA crazy? Why are they, like, out of touch with reality?”
Costello paints a picture of gun owners as out of step with society, yet recent polling is hardly indicative of such. A Gallup poll conducted earlier this month found that only 38% of Americans are dissatisfied with current gun laws, while 43% are either satisfied or believe the laws should be loosened.

How did Obama respond? He asked doctors of gun owners if they could talk to their patients about this.

Within hours of his securing his reelection, President Obama placed a late night call to the U.S. United Nations delegation ordering them to vote in favor of a passage of L.11.
As soon as news of the U.S. policy 180 was confirmed, a new round of negotiations on the treaty was scheduled for March 18-28 at the UN headquarters in New York City.
How does the ATT (and the Programme of Action that undergirds it) propose to enforce this anti-gun agenda?
Section III, Paragraphs 7 and 8 of the Programme of Action mandate that if a member state cannot get rid of privately owned small arms legislatively, then the control of “customs, police, intelligence, and arms control” will be placed under the power of a board of UN bureaucrats operating out of the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs.
This provision includes the deployment of UN peacekeeping forces in a member state to seize and destroy “weapons stockpiles.”
In order to assist these blue-helmets and their disarmament overlords in their search and seizure of this ammunition, Section III, Paragraph 10 mandates that member states develop technology to improve the UN’s ability to detect stockpiles of ammo and arms.
This will be made much easier when the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) gets its hands on the portable invisible lasers developed by Genia Laboratories (a company created by CIA offshoot In-Q-Tel) that can detect even trace amounts of gun powder from over 50 yards away. The laser reportedly can penetrate walls, glass, and metal. DHS is scheduled to take possession of the devices before the end of the year, according to testimony presented on Capitol Hill late last year.

Why do you need (semi) automtic guns to defend yourself? 1 bullet is enough to kill someone.
Because it is not about semi auto, it is about self defense against tyranny, and they never send just one person to arrest you.
Now if you want to be the one who capitulates and bows to any would be dictator, have a nice time being a subject.
If you would take the time to read history, you would see that what they are doing is the same as every other clown who thinks they are smarter or more enlightened than YOU.
Have a nice time living on your knees.
Because the second amendment is not written to protect your right to hunt or even to defend yourself in your home although that is certainly a valuable by-product.
It is about the people having weapons to overthrow a tyrannical government if need be. Those weapons need to be suitable for combat and be comparable to what the government has.
No, we don’t have drones and hellfire missiles and jets but you know what. Neither did the Viet Cong. You (and they) underestimate their opponents numbers and abilities. All those high tech weapons mean nothing in the long run, right now they would lose to a well armed, well trained population in far greater numbers than you can imagine.
