So the ex-Feds go underground in their own enclaves in the forests somewhere. Think about it. These are proven back-stabbers and treasonists. They have sold America down the drain and collected millions of off-book payments through their fake alphabet agencies. This money was enough to afford to develop an off-grid redoubt to protect them from the police-state they were responsible for fomenting.
Now imagine these vile, subhumans as each others neighbors. They have only experienced asymmetric fighting with unlimited weaponry , funding and someone else doing the dirty work. They are trained bullies and cowards and won’t stand by their brothers for a moment when the going gets hard. They are citified idiots with few skills and wondering which end of a hammer hits the nail.
