During a Facebook townhall meeting today Joe Biden was asked a question from a female concerned about protecting herself and her home. She asked the Vice President if he was concerned if banning certain weapons would make law abiding citizens more of a target.
Biden responded: “If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun.” Then describing a conversation with his wife: ”I said, ‘Jill, if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here … walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.’ … You don’t need an AR-15 — it’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use, and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun! Buy a shotgun!”
If you ask me Biden seems to be reading too many romance novels. Someone explain to me how its a good idea to confront an intruder by shooting your ammo out the window in the air while someone is entering your house?
