Every July, some of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the world gather at a 2,700 acre campground on 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, for two weeks of heavy drinking accompanied by druid worship and bizarre rituals. The club lies 75 miles outside San Francisco. It was formed in 1872 by five men who were looking for shelter from the frontier culture, but throughout the years the club would evolve into an association for the extremely wealthy. The men who have gathered at Bohemian Grove have included big business leaders, former U.S. presidents, musicians, actors, oil tycoons and bankers.

Musicians also perform at the Grove’s amphitheater, as well as artists and actors portraying historical events on stage. The influence of Greek paganism is also quite pronounced in the Bohemian stage production, with a series of Grove Plays, including a more extravagant variety called the “High Jinks” and a sillier form of musical called the “Low Jinks.”

Every year, every man upon entering is told that “Weaving Spiders Come Not Here,” which means that all business deals were to be left outside and could not enter Bohemian Grove. The motto was taken from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. The only time this rule was made an exception was in 1942, when the planning for the Manhattan Project took place at the Grove, leading to the creation of the atom bomb. Those who attended this meeting, apart from Ernest Lawrence and military officials, included the president of Harvard and representatives of Standard Oil (The Rockefeller Foundation) and General Electric.

It does me good to know that our leaders and heads of busyness “act” in this manner. It is a boys only club from what I understand and they are also referred to as the perverted ones… They get together and and and worship a 40 ft owl. Don’t these people remember what happened to sodem and gomorrah?
