Meteor, Fireball or UFO Over San Francisco, Dashcam Video

Russia was not the only place to see a unexpected object in the sky Friday, this sighting was captured in the San Francisco Bay Area on a dashcam just after 7:30 Friday Feb 15, 2013.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – As if the Russian meteor explosion wasn’t enough, Friday night, social media sites were bombarded with reports of a meteor sighting in the skies over the San Francisco Bay Area.

According to various Twitter posts, people started seeing a blue object flash across the sky around 8 p.m.

T. Kyle MacMahon tweeted “So everyone has dash cams now? RT @BuzzFeedNews : Meteor caught on video tonight in San Francisco at 7:44pm”

ABC15 Chief Meteorologist Amber Sullins said the last meteor seen in San Francisco was this past October.

It was the size of a car and broke apart as it entered the atmosphere.
