Shocking: Veterans Are Receiving Letters From VA Prohibiting The Ownership Or Purchase Of Firearms (See One Here)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

How would you feel if you received a letter from the U.S. Government informing you that because of a physical or mental condition that the government says you have it is proposing to rule that you are incompetent to handle your own financial affairs? Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse.

What if that letter also stated: “A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2).”?

That makes is sound like something right from a documentary on a tyrannical dictatorship somewhere in the world. Yet, as I write this I have a copy of such a letter right in front of me. It is being sent by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of America’s heroes. In my capacity as Executive Director of the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) I have been contacted by some of these veterans and the stories I am getting are appalling.

Not sure what to make of this as it’sobviously unlawful and unconstitutional.  This story is still developing so i’ll try to keep you guys posted.  If any Vets out there can confirmthis by all means do so below in the comments.  -Mort

Will the citizens of the United States stand idly by as their veterans are treated with such disrespect?

Consider what our veterans have done for this country over the years….

What is it that you will do for them?

the Government is treating these veterans with disrespect?
Millions of elderly citizens are victims of fraud, scammed or simply taken advantage of because they are old! When you get older you need not be forgotten. It’s a very embarassing subject that as we age we suffer from incontinence and dementia, but, it needs to be dealt with.

Unfortunately, lowlife con men know this and use it.

      • anarchialdesire

Veterans are murderers what freedom exactly are they fighting for?

        • Live Free or Die

Hey! Veterans aren’t murderers at all; the US government and our presidents, both dems and repubs, are murderers. They are the ones who need to be singled out and called murderers and they are the ones that need to be held accountable for their crimes, including Barack Obomber the baby murderer.

I grew up in the 1960′s and I saw what the Peaceniks did to the Veterans due to the Vietnam War; it was wrong then and it is wrong now.

Thankfully, the masses of Americans, even life long Peace Activists like myself, have seen where we need to aim our ire; it’s not at the Vets, it’s at their bosses.

What freedom exactly are they fighting for? Yours and mine and everyone else’s who still care about our country and a peaceful society.

Who do you troll for? CIA, DHS or FBI?

I’m a veteran and have never desired to kill or murder anyone…until now.

And i’ll go to heaven, anyway!

      • Odd Job

So what have the veterans done for your country exactly? How many times have you been invaded? Perhaps more to the point, how many countries have YOU invaded?

I think the answer to my second question would be not enough, otherwise your “leaders” wouldn’t have to keep having false flag ops to justify invading some other country.

As for the jerk below who called them hero’s

        • trashman

Maybe it’s BECAUSE of your “Executive Directorship” at the so-called “United States Justice Foundation” that you’ve been deemed too incompetent to handle your benefit payment. After looking at your website, I’d think you were too incompetent as well.

    • polnick

Vets taking medication for combat related stress disorders will be denied the right to buy an AK-47 that is needed to protect their stash of opiates. This ruling will affect 10 million troubled vets even those that need Viagra to get an erection.

@Polnick: Whatsamatta sweetheart? Can’t find any Veterans willing to let you play their flutes?

    • whalebone

…..I see absolutely NO problem with this at all regarding people with mental issues….It seems glaringly apparent that all of these gun issues are perpetrated by people with mental issues…So taking the guns out of the hands with mental issues is a bad thing?…I makes perfect sense…..

      • William

Obviously you have failed to grasp the true meaning of this: BEING A VETERAN WILL BE PRIMA FACIE EVIDENCE that one is incompetent, and thus unfit to own firearms.

This is NOT about protecting ANYONE. How can you be so obtuse? This is about DISARMING THOSE WHO HAVE THE BEST FIGHTING EXPERIENCE.

Any you cops – you, the ones out there laughing: HOW LONG DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE before that memo that informs you that you must, from then on, LEAVE YOUR WEAPONS AT THE STATION, when your shift is over?

      • txpatriot

Does being a veteran mean automatic mental illness? I dont think so.

        • wizard

Any one who has a long service in the mass murder of innocents has to be mentally incompetent.
You have not been fighting for freedom but for the continuation of tyrannical thugs to have power over the people.

    • rev

What will it take for veterans, soldiers and young people thinking about signing up?
This, dear people, is what you were/are/will be “fighting” for. Not freedom, not peace, not human rights or dignity, but the bottom line of the corporations — the very ones trying now to disarm and disengage you from your own lives. Get with it. You see before you the true consequences of enlistment: being treated like sub-humans by the very people you sought to protect. Do you still really believe that the reasons they give you for fighting are the truth? Did they pay you enough to endure this? When are you going to wake up? Don’t you see that they are using the very fact that you signed up for war as a reason to call you incompetent? Insane even? Wonder why they think that? Is it really sane to go somewhere and kill people you’ve never even met, on the premise that some one else says you must do it for your country? Now THEY call YOU insane? Don’t you get it? It is all lies, and now you are discovering the consequences for going along with them.

    • Danger Boy

Veterans have good and grounded commonsense… Also they possess training and skills that may impede a tyrants schedule/final goal/takeover.
That being said tyrannical governments try to increase their odds of total domination by reducing obstacles. For example, disarming those whome know a lawful order vs. One given in total contradiction to the oath taken to enter military service.

The only missing element is multiple full page ads by said tyrant saying we are coming… Resistance is futile!

    • Constitution

The problem here is not with the VA, which is performing a valuable service by warning veterans they may be at risk of being prosecuted under the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2). The problem is with the statute, and hopefully the VA warning will activate veterans to demand the unconstitutional statute be repealed.

For a discussion of how it is unconstitutional see my law review article “Public safety or Bills of Attainder?” at http://constitution.org/col/psrboa.htm

      • William

It makes no difference if people blame the VA or the REAL culprits. The looming disarmament of our best-trained fighting men takes HEAVY precedence over any blame.

    • Lliam

This is an act to break down the Constitution or The United States
      to UN unite us
      UN like The U N
Look up oath keepers and support…
      WHY???
When you serve in the military of the USA your sworn in with an oath or enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

The Domestic part is what their are worried about
Men and Women fight in wars
Politicians make them, and benefit from them, the more lives lost the more money made
      This is Halliburton’s Creed

    • Lliam

Interesting that they quote King Leonidas
with molon labe a great little piece of history

In 480 B.C. the forces of the Persian Empire under King Xerxes, numbering, according to Herodotus, two million men, bridged the Hellespont and marched in their myriads to invade and enslave Greece.

King Leonidas of Sparta and another Greek city-state agreed to help stop the invading Persians, and marched with 300 hand-picked troops to Thermopylae on the north coast of Greece. Thermopylae was the best of three possible defensive areas in which Xerxes’ invading army had to advance. This mountain gap along the coast was about 60 feet wide, and was the best location for a blocking action. The confines between mountains and sea were so narrow that the Persian multitudes and their cavalry would be at least partially neutralized. Since the 300 knew they were going to die fighting against overwhelming forces the first requirement was that each man had to have a son left behind.

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes “MOLON LABE”, or “Come And Get Them.”

Similar to our, you can have my gun, when you pry it from my cold dead fingers…

    • Oldpuppymax

These “rulings” must be ignored by veterans receiving the letters from the VA! My reaction would be to empty my bank account, sell my car, use cash for all transactions, give my home to my son or daughter–divest myself of ALL assets I possibly could. That would put Hussein’s boy in charge of ZIP!
As for gun purchases, Vets should assemble and contact gun clubs, etc through their various states. Tell the clubs what is going on and ask to purchase a gun from one of the members! I would guess some, perhaps MANY would be willing to take a stand against the Marxist in the Whitey House.
As for guns already owned, MOLON LABE!
It would then be my pleasure to write a 2 word letter to the VA.

    • Dave Webb

The problem is our definition of incompetent behavior. The question is why were they discharged if they are insane? Insane is a legal definition and has little to do with a medical definition of being unable to conduct your own life as you see fit.
Many veterans have been through Hell and back while in service. Someone in the military has decided these veterans are showing signs of Mental Problems. In order to keep them from going off the deep end, these same doctors are trying to get these veterans off the streets before a problem occurs. Sort of like closing the barn door after the horses have left the building.
The language is not very diplomatic.
The problem is someone going off the deep end with this kind of background. It is a nightmare a lot of psychiatrists in service are dealing with.
Now one of these veterans heavily armed goes Rambo. What do you do? They are combat veterans with survival training. They are often heroes with medals to prove it. No civilian force is capable of handling these people properly. They simply do not have the training to do so.
There are veterans out there from previous conflicts that are permanently housed in jail cells because some judge decided they were not capable of coping with civilian life without violence. Effectively they are on a life sentence, even though any crime they may have committed did not have a penalty normally of such a sentence.
Effectively the federal government needs to make them go away. They don’t want to kill them because that brings publicity back on them. So what do they do? They can bury them in a jail or they can bury them in an institution for the insane.
Either way, the Hell they have went through has broken them down. That is a VA responsibility. The VA doesn’t have the funds to handle it.

Reading the comment I see some very important things. Don’t you see the obvious intentional way that everything is dividing us as people. Turning on each other is NOT what we should do here. If we don’t all stick together we WILL LOSE everything that we have gained in the bloody battles before us. The only way to take this down is from the inside and by doing exactly what they want us to do, that being, turning on each other. If we could all keep this thing together and stand together United as a Nation against those trying to destroy what we should protect TOGETHER, we could ALL stop this. OUR Vets, our military, our older population being thrown to the dogs is a way to start a civil uprising and look IT’S WORKING. Shouldn’t we all stand with them and try to keep this shaky ground from crushing what is left still standing. thegreengiant07 I so totally understand what you are saying, it makes me sick to see the elderly being treated like they are nothing, I am seeing it first hand inside my own family. I am also seeing the aftermath of having a very close family member not only going though the changes facing our elderly but also the aftermath of chemical exposure caused by our own government on the battlefield. One thing we must note as well is that with our vets being treated the way they are for mental conditions it causes them NOT to seek help, so it’s no surprise that we have now lost more service men and women to suicide then the number lost in the war, reaching an all time high in 2012. According to the data we lose one every 80 minutes. I know I’m a dreamer when I strive for peace, but once we all lose hope all we have fought for that we are losing will be gone forever!

      • arcadia11

        @cher -

“i know i’m a dreamer when i strive for peace”

then billions of us are also dreamers. the dream comes first. action follows.

we must all dream the life that we want to live. intend it into reality. or it cannot happen. “imagination is everything. it is the preview of life’s coming attractions” einstein

this war against the people is largely a war against our minds. keep creating your life, no matter what. keep moving in the direction of sovereignty. do what needs to be done. expose the crimes, expose the lies, expose everything hiding in the dark. this is so important – full exposure is the battle half-won.

do not submit to the power of fear and apathy. these creatures live off our negative emotions. do not feed the trolls. do not give up your dream of freedom and sovereignty and make every move count toward that dream.

and this must be a group dream. i totally agree that the usurpers are doing everything they can to keep us from uniting. and we are our only hope. together. we must be the change we want to see. the more that is so the smaller and smaller the opposition becomes.

        i am dreaming with you.

If and it is just if….lets say there are 500,000 personel who have served, and these letters go out to as the writer says maybe hundreds…so lets say 500….thats 0.01% of those who served.

This is a document that I think is being sent to the worst of the worst personel or thier families, likely ones who suffer MAJOR PTSD, and other mental issues, some of which we cannot begin to fathom. These are the guys and gals who still live but gave as much as those who didnt. God Bless them. But now they are home and they need care and maybe they are incapable of RESPONSABLE gun ownership.

As long as this is just happening to a percentage that is much lower then society’s mental health rate, I wouldn’t worry about it. If it was like happening to healthy sound returning troops….THEN I’D WORRY ALOT.

    • Suni

Once again our new Gov’mnt is try to disarm all of us, one sector at a time. Sneaking up on us thinking we are not aware of their plan. Yes, there are some vets and some civilians who should never be allowed to own a gun or a steak knife. They are among the few. I feel their own families should make sure they do not have access if they are deemed not being okay.
      Ammo up, they are coming.

    • Anonymous123618387200828929

Like any program, there is bound to be plenty of fraud. Just look at Social Security disability, welfare, food stamps, subsidized phones, section-8 housing, earned income credit…. the list is endless to defraud programs to cash in on.

PTSD has become an easy way to full disability payments for life. It sure beats doing 20 years and having to earn a military pension, or working as a civilian to 67 before collecting a pittance of SSI.

If you truly have PTSD, then you are too crazy to own a firearm. If you don’t like that, too bad!
If you claim PTSD, simply to abuse the system, you reap what you sow. Haha!!!!

My recommendations to veterans is to quit abusing the disability system just because ‘everybody else is doing it’. Do your service time, get out, and get a job. If you’re a nutcase, then collect your PTSD benefits, and quit whining when we prevent you from owning/purchasing firearms.

        @Anonymous123618…

Have you ever served your Country in the Armed Forces?
Have you ever been deployed to a combat zone?
Have you ever had to raise your M4 (M24, M16, M9, etc) and engage the enemy?
Have you ever been on patrol and have your up-armored HUMMVEE get blown into pieces from an IED only to be the only man to make it out alive?
Have you ever been standing on guard in a high dense enemy area, in a flash of a moment to have your friends around you drop like flies from enemy fire, while you try to stop a sucking chest wound on one guy, to turn around and your other buddy has the back of his blown clean off?
Have you ever taken enemy sniper fire?
Have you ever had a Blackhawk your riding in take a RPG to the back and crash into the mountains of Afghanistan? Hunkered down for 3 days, fighting an enemy while trying to patch up others around you and praying you’ll make it out alive, hoping the Medivac and Apache’s are coming around the bend at any minute? Because that’s the only way out…
Maybe you were part of the invasion into Iraq in March of 2003? Maybe you’ve spent 3 tours into combat, only to blow out your left knee for the third time on a HALO jump ending your military career? Maybe you pleaded and begged your Brigade Commander to keep you, even putting you into the Guard as an Instructor, only to realize that you can’t keep up, your body has taken such a beating that you have 4 degenerated discs, 2 ruptured discs, both hip sockets with bone on bone, 2 TBI’s (Traumatic Brain Injuries), 3 knee surgeries, scars all over your body from shrapnel and the deep mental scares that keep you awake all night, haunt your dreams, waking up in a pool of sweat, even screaming sometimes, sometimes thinking a card board box on the side of the road to work in an IED, where you can’t hunt like you use to because it reminds you too much of a war zone. But even then, you don’t take the “medical discharge” as again, you beg and plead to be put into the IRR as you’ve signed a contract, and you would like to finish. So, you go into the IRR to finish out your obligation. And as you work in the civilian side, now having a sensitivity to light, suffer from chronic headaches, severe back and hip pain, you throw up once a month with flu like symptoms out of no where (yet the VA has no idea why), and trust me, the list does go on an on…but each day, you keep fighting as you always had…but between the pain, the mental anguish, you still march on, you don’t complain, you don’t want a handout and you keep working because you believe in the system.

And I see your point, I really do. I’ve seen the guys who abuse the system. But not every veteran is like that. Not every combat veteran is looking for a hand out, or easy PTSD VA benefits or any other VA benefit they can collect. But obviously, you have no idea what you are even talking about…so I’d recommend you start keeping those ridiculous comments to yourself, and think about the other side of things. What about guys like myself, who own firearms, who hunt, who are certified NRA instructors? Should our gun rights be so easily stripped away after we put our lives on the line for the very reason? Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen who sign up, sign up to protect every citizens right to every Amendment, every letter in the Constitution, and every Freedom we currently have in the greatest Country in the world. We do not pick our enemies, and many of us would rather have peace than war, because we know exactly how much wars cost my friend.

I hope by sharing only a fraction of a glimpse into my world can help change your outlook and mind on this vary issue. May God bless you and you’re family.

YOU ARE PURE EVIL! WORKING FOR PURE EVIL.
And now you will suffer even more.
I have the joy of knowing that all took big breathes of air on the battle field which had flying around in it literally itty bitty “hot particles” spread all around when you war criminals of the u.s of TERROR used Depleted Uranium Munitions on the residents of Afghanistan, NO THREAT TO ME OR YOU, FOOL!!! You sat on top of the DU munitions when riding around. You came in contact with it when in the warehouse, when loading it, when handling it.
Now, you expose & radiate your killer-cult wife, maybe you will have a “SPACE ALIEN” looking baby, next! ALL FOR YOUR COUNRTY, YOU SICK WAR-CRIMINAL!

What joy this brings TO ME because the following is what it means FOR YOU:
Very malignant fast acting cancers of all sorts will form in the individuals who have consumed and inhaled hot particles.
Diabetes type 2 at pandemic levels.
A tremendous rise in the infant death syndrome.
Human genetic mutations (SPACE-ALIEN LOOKING BABIES, dumb-shit!), also, of all types.
Genetic mutations of every living thing including bacteria and viruses.
A tremendous drop in “viable male sperm count” versus what is considered “fertile” or “normal levels” in the rest of the world that has not been affected by Depleted Uranium Munitions.

Just read an obituary (LA times) of a DEAD 37 year old-ex marine- Iraq “war” (MASSACRE) veteran . ground combat – 5 years out of combat – dead of bile duct cancer (ouchhhhhhhhhhhhhh!). His “wife” will not get any extra reward for his-combat related death, FOOL!

Your own side is KILLING YOU! FOOL!
Here is the cure for you.
YOU WILL NOT GET IT AT THE V.A. HOSPITAL, IDIOT!
THEY WANT TO KILL YOU and then pay you no more “benefits”!

      PTSD=easy disability payment for life.

No pity for PTSD abusers who want to collect. If they are too crazy to work the rest of the life, keep them AWAY from firearms. Pretty simple.

I believe that anyone deemed by a competent source to be unstable to the extent that they pose a plausible threat to others or themselves not just Veterans should be prevented from owning of of firearms of any kind.

This is not what I would call “shocking”. This is what I would call “common sense”.
Isn’t it about time that we reign in the known incompetent and mentally disturbed?
If they are willing to accept the other regulations and stipulations when receiving benefits for a mental or drug dependency disability, how can they justify access to weapons?

I think its’ time to wake up and smell the coffee if we truly want to begin to get a handle on firearm violence.

It’s also time to convict and hand out mandatory sentences for those committing crimes using firearms. There is no point in catching rats (be they sick or otherwise) if all you are going to do is turn them out again.

One more item that will get you a front row seat at their doctors is threatening to burn a koran as a veteran… When they found out I was planning to publicly burn a koran with the aim of embarrassing obama policies in the middle east, my service background got checked pronto. I had a VA Federal Police Chief in Harlingen Texas call and try to get me in with a doctor…There were all sorts of threats that the civilian cops could arrest me etc etc. When I pointed out that I had been out of the service for over 40 years, and this could not be related to PTSD they were somewhat stymied. I told this yahoo and the local police chief that if they did arrest me under those conditions that I would own the city of Brownsville , texas, after a triumphant tour of the court system suing for damages. But, the message is crystal clear that they do not want vets burning korans, nor do I suspect anything at all that roils the water. Be advised that the VA has intervention teams of federal police to handle any veteran that they think is off the rails as defined by some weasel in the feds.

Respect for people who knowingly engage in the mass murder of innocents, I think not.
Only following orders is no excuse.
Signing up to fight for your country without fully investigating ulterior motives is stupid.
      JUST SAY NO.
The real enemy are the ones who ask you to do the killing for them.

Not only is it a absolute breech of our constitutional rights but it is a breech of public trust in the worst way. Obama and ALL of the communists on both sides need to be replaced. If it has to be done by a special election or a temporary appointment until we have elections. Those who have designed and pushed laws that subvert the Constitution need to be charged with treason. We are still at war. Obama has purposely aided our enemy and mocks any who question his self appointed authority. “From my cold dead hands” is a great slogan because it would take that to disarm me and probably millions of Americans.

So now the government is scared of the very killing machines they created—-I’d rather have a veteran on my side than the crazies who are elected to government!!!

VETERANS are americas only hero’s,the fact they are willing to put their life on the line for something ,right or wrong, is their claim to fame, their standing UP,how about you? their parents?if they had any, most vets don’t,they wind up on the streets, sick and homeless, this is a black eye for america, and launching an attack on veterans shows just how sick america has become,if america was being invaded you would be crying help,YOU REALLY THINK the terrorists in BLUE care about you,HELL no,their the personal little whores of politicians, not of the PEOPLE,THE VETERANS ARE OF THE PEOPLE,some day america will wished they had treated their VETERANS BETTER,and I suspect that day is near…………………….

      JUST MORE SMOKE AND MIRRORS

PTSD has been around for a long time, back in the world war area they called it shell shock.

all I see is non-vets judging vets.
The color red in our flag is from the blood that was shed
instead of boo hooing about the problem, help with a solution
there used to be a deprogramming style release for the combat vets, and special forces.
it is no longer in force.

the killers that come out of the war zone are taken buy the government and used as spooks and plumbers, these are the hard core soldiers, who tasted blood and liked it, ALOT…

The PTSD is your neighbor, cousin, brother, etc.
average American’s, who either wanted to go to school, get ahead, or fight for freedom, yours and theirs, then they see the horror that is war. And its not the jungle war, where the guy coming the opposite way is your enemy, its urban warfare, tall buildings, people in their windows, masked, women and children combatants, who hate Americans, and declare that its holy to kill us…

Put the average joe or jane there, for 3yrs, keep them for 2 more, then throw them back into society, with a long line at the VA, busy phones, no jobs, and most no homes.

This kinda takes away from our veterans coming home to the local parade in their home town.

That is why many of them take their own lives.
      WELL GOD BLESS AMERICA

when “THEY” come and they will, to take what is yours, and enslave you, and you don’t know how to effectively defend yourselves, because you don’t have the proper training, and know the basic strategies of combat, your will cry for the PTSD vets to protect you from the domestic enemies, from within…

Remember when Police officers were called peace keepers?
Well no they are called law enforcement officers, and dress more like SWAT, and have more battle gear on, while in country.

that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it

Actually I don’t see this invasion of privacy as being about veterans at all.

This is just the first arm of the octopus that intends to strip every American of our inalienable rights.

It makes sense to me that the first targets would be the mentally unstable, the elderly, and the infirm. After that this travesty becomes ‘law’ and will be extended to cover the poor.

After that it will be you and me.

It is the same totalitarian tiptoe that they have always used to deprive us of our basic rights as free people.

The sad truth is that if I let them get away with taking basic human rights from any other American, mine are also in danger.

But because I won’t do anything to protect anyone else… there will be no one left to protect me when they are knocking on my door.

May God have mercy on us all ’cause there is gonna’ be hell to pay.

      • Banderman

        Agreed.

If a vet is declared mentally incompetent to conduct his own affairs and is subsequently caught with a gun and prosecuted his defence would be that he was mentally incompetent to stand trial. when the prosecution said he was not the question would be asked why did the VA say he was and called as evidence. If the court agreed then he would have to be released as not fit for trial, if they disagreed then the charge would have to be dropped because there was no reason in law for preventing him from keeping a gun. Good old catch 22 get this reworded by a good lawyer and they have shot themselves in the foot before they start!

It does not take a genius to see what is going up.

1st. They target the rifles, a weapon that can target from a distance. Thus able to be used in a fight against a rogue government.
2nd Target the veterans. Those who are trained to fight thus can not only fight themselves but train others.

Government want the people unable to protect themselves once they start their move. BTW: They already are targeting the food. If you give up the guns, expect a Stalin like policy.

It’s reported that “Service members committed suicide during 2012 at a record pace: more than 349 took their own lives across the four branches, or one every 25 hours, a Department of Defense spokesperson confirmed Monday.” …

Another reported stated “ in a series of murders that began on June 11(back in 2002), three of the four soldiers who allegedly killed their wives at the base had returned from combat units in Afghanistan. There has also been a steep rise in domestic violence at Fort Bragg, according to a support group for wives at the base, who have reported a large number of calls for help. In two of the fatal incidents, the men committed suicide after killing their wives, while two soldiers, both non-commissioned officers, have been charged with murder by the civilian authorities.

This in itself is a witness to the mental state of human minds which are enduring the stress of serving as country men of wars …

Having been a mother-in-law to a service man … I can say that there are some of those for their own safety and the safety of their families … who return from army ‘conditioning of minds’ who should NOT be allowed to carry a gun …

But like I say the whole thing about these wars have little or no good in them …

    • Desert_Fox

I haven’t gotten this yet but I may in the future.

    • Gadfly

Veterans need to be sure these people get guns, VA notwithstanding. They are coming after all of us before it is thru. Lets make sure our brothers are all armed so that we can clean house properly.
