Human "Tissue" Found In Burger Meat

The horse meat fiasco in Europe  prodded scientists to look a bit deeper into what else we might be consuming. A team of South African scientists have just found traces of human tissue in meat meant for public consumption from 9 provinces, according to Economic Crisis.

The issue was revealed to the South African parliament, almost as a side note, during meat inspection briefings on Tuesday.

A University of Stellenbosch scientist and his team conducted a microbial analysis that revealed traces of human elements, but said that slaughterhouse workers sometimes cut themselves . . . or other things . . . which could lead to the findings.

If I walked into a factory and the sample I randomly selected to test was a meat sample of which the person de-boning the meat had just picked his nose and then touched the meat, I would get a totally different microbial reading,” he said.

Identifying the species contained in a piece of droëwors or burger patty is not as simple as pulling it apart and examining it under a microscope. Stellenbosch University used established DNA sequencing technologies as one of the methods to unravel the extent of mislabelling in the South African meat market.

DNA sequencing is the process of determining the precise order of nucleotides within a DNA molecule. Termed the ‘blueprint of life’, these molecules determine who and what you are. Or rather in this case, what you are eating.

While the main study was done by Dr Donna-Maree Cawthorn and Prof Louw Hoffman of the Department of Animal Sciences, they relied on the DNA Sequencing Unit at Stellenbosch University’s Central Analytical Facilities to peek into the smallest part of a sausage’s DNA.

According to DNA analyst, Miss René Veikondis, they allow the researchers to visualise the piece of DNA in which they are interested: “They bring a DNA sample in a miniscule plastic vial, and we hand them back the DNA sequence in a readable text file.”

But first the researchers had to do quite a bit of work to identify the region in the genome that could be used to pinpoint the species contained in the meat products. “In other words, there is a specific section of the DNA where the combination of the nucleotides will indicate whether this is a donkey or a water buffalo or a kangaroo,” she explains.

These sections are then cleaned up in the lab and prepared for analysis. This means that the different species could be identified by looking at less than 1 000 of the billions of building blocks in the DNA cocktail provided. The technology used is similar to those used in paternity tests and forensic analysis in crime investigations.

While DNA sequencing hails from processes developed back in the 1970s, the researchers showed that DNA-based methods can be powerful and highly-applicable tools to monitor the meat industry and support law enforcement.

The combined length of all the DNA molecules in a single human cell can measure up to a few meters if stretched out in a single long thread and consist of over one billion building blocks called nucleotides. The nucleotides are organised into minute structures called chromosomes and these range between 200 nanometres to 20 micrometres in length – in other words a millionth to a thousandth of a millimetre. According to some calculations the combined length of DNA in all cells in a single human body roughly equates to 70 trips to the sun and back to earth.

Soylent Green is a 1973 American science fiction film directed by Richard Fleischer and starring Charlton Heston and, in his final film, Edward G. Robinson. The film overlays the police procedural and science fiction genres as it depicts the investigation into the murder of a wealthy businessman in a dystopian future suffering from pollution, overpopulation, depleted resources, poverty, dying oceans, and a hot climate due to the greenhouse effect. Much of the population survives on processed food rations, including “soylent green”.

In 2022, with 40 million people in New York City alone, housing is dilapidated and overcrowded; homeless people fill the streets and food is scarce; and most of the population survives on rations produced by the Soylent Corporation, whose newest product is Soylent Green, a green wafer advertised to contain “high-energy plankton”, more nutritious and palatable than its predecessors “Red” and “Yellow”, but in short supply.

New York City Police Department detective Robert Thorn lives with his aged friend Solomon “Sol” Roth, a former scholar who helps Thorn’s investigations.

Roth takes Soylent’s oceanographic reports to a like-minded group of researchers known as the Exchange, who agree that the oceans no longer produce the plankton from which Soylent Green is reputedly made, and conclude it is made from human remains. Unable to live with this discovery, Roth seeks assisted suicide at a government clinic called “Home”. Thorn rushes to stop him, but arrives too late, and is mesmerized by the euthanasia process’s visual and musical montage— a display of forests, wild animals, rivers, and ocean life, now extinct. Under the influence of a lethal drug, Roth tells Thorn his discovery and begs him to expose the truth. To this end, Thorn stows himself aboard a garbage truck to the disposal-center, where he sees human corpses converted into Soylent Green. Returning to make his report, he is ambushed by Fielding and others; and having failed to summon his colleagues, converses with Shirl before connected to Hatcher. Thorn then retreats into a cathedral filled with homeless people, where he kills Fielding but is seriously injured. When the police arrive, Thorn urges Hatcher to spread the word that “Soylent Green is people!”.

      My wife and I started grinding our own hamburger a few years back. WE will not eat nor use anything from any grocery store period. It started with the red slime fiasco…where they were taking the steer carcasses normally used for dog & Cat food and extracting the meat, which at this point in their process was highly contaminated with fecal matter bacteria, spraying it with amonia…THEN there has been the horsemeat scandal. If we can’t watch what is being ground we will not eat it. And let me tell you homemade hamburger is soo much tastier too! When cooking Hamburger there is almost no grease comes off of the meat, it is ultra low fat. The meat is not rubbery with all the added fat and is actually incredibly tender. We omit most of the fat. Bottom line is you cannot trust any grocery store chain to grind your hamburger, the temptaton to put in cheap fillers and ripp you off is too tempting for them. Buy a nice grinder and make your own, your Family will be much better off. AND it tastes so much better.

      I forgot to ask, had assumed, but maybe you are not aware, – they still feed cows meat in this country. (just not ruminant meat, supposedly anyway, however that may also be being broken, the dollar makes people do corrupt things) but cows are vegetarian, and as such, if you force them to eat MEAT OF ANY KIND, IT IS AGAINST NATURE, it is a crime which will result in BAD THINGS HAPPENING IN THAT COW.

      I hope you are only buying organic, vegetarian-fed cows. And the laws of organic are not very loop-hole free, such as some ‘organic’ farms get cows and only have to keep them like a year ? I think, before they can call them organic. That will not help us in the prion avoidance department, you know what I mean? This is an altogether dangerous time to be buying meat, but that has been the case for a very long time.

      They also know that when humans eat human flesh, bad stuff is done to OUR DNA, our brain, and it is so wrong, against nature, (as forcing cows to eat their own or other animals results in Mad Cow Disease) that it will work against us the same way, such as in Alzheimer’s Disease.

      Many Alzeimer’s patients, after they die, and are tested have the same holes in the brain as the cows who have mad cow die from, it is caused by prions, and therefore, they are lying to us as to what causes Alzheimer’s, and are discounting the way/s it comes, from prions, is one way, that produces the spongiform hole-in-the-brain disease that Mad Cow Disease is; they don’t want us to know about PRIONS which are bent proteins which are caused by eating another of one’s kind or animals that we were not designed to eat; they do not want us to know this, and the many ways you ingest these prions, which are the infectious agent also. Ingesting prions causes our proteins to also bend abnormally, more of them cause more of them to be bent, and therefore earlier the Alzheimer’s symptoms. Of course alluminum, shellfish, rats, mice, squirrels, etc. (which we aren’t meant to eat, probably mercury too) can have brain–destroying effects, I don’t know if spongiform is the result of alluminum ingesting (I don’t think so) but the results are equally devastating in many cases of mercury and alluminum poisoning.
      Dementia. They still sell us the aluminum cookware, mercury fillings, lightbulbs which should be illegal (curly ones full of mercury, a hazardous waste problem which will poison billions and all nature) and they still sell us alluminum deodorants, which absorb right into our lymph glands, causing cancer from all the other poisons in them as well as that one, they still don’t want us to know what they are doing to us, because our suffering and illness confers POWER AND MONEY upon THEM.
