Is Queen Elizabeth Dying?
Over the last few days, the Queen of England has been in hospital supposedly suffering from apartent stomach problems – but could this just be a cover up?
At the moment in England rumours are spreading that Queen Elizabeth is on her way out and this has started huge arguments amongst the royal household as to who the sucessor will be.
It is widely belived that Prince William is the Queens first choice, but his father Charles and step-mother Camilla are doing all they can to steal the crown.
Prince Charles, under the standard model, would be the chosen one, but because of his divorce and suspected involvement in the death of his first wife – Diana Princess of Wales, pressure is being put on the Queen to select his newly married, squeeky clean son – William.
So it seems we have a battle on our hands – who will win? It is too soon to say, but William will certinaly be a more favourable choice for the general public.
Whatever happens, I hope people wake up soon and get rid of these blood-sucking-parasites. It is time to move on. What sort of fairytale bullshit is this? Kings and Queens living in Castles?
But as the saying goes, the people get the leaders they deserve, so until we change, the people at the top will stay the same.

Why are these “monarchs” still being fawned over? They are a relic of the past and a long dead one at that. Let the queen die and then let the monarchy end. It is a corrupt conclave of misfits and inbreds that have no real influence on the political arena and England really looks to be fools to keep this farce alive.

One of the problems with this article is that it naively assumes that the Queen has the authority to choose her heir. The Succession to the British Throne is governed under UK Common Law and provided for by the Act of Settlement 1701 and reaffirmed in the Acts of Unions 1800. It is stated in these acts that the Succession to the British Throne follows male primogenture, where the first born male offspring is first-in-line to the throne, the second born male is second-in-line, etc.
For example, Queen Elizabeth II did not have a brother, and as she was older than the late Princess Margaret, she was first-in-line for the throne. If Elizabeth and Margaret had a brother (older or younger, either way), then he would have been first-in-line and the current monarch, but they did not.
The point is, that by constitutional and common law, the Queen cannot choose her heir; only Parliament would have the authority to alter succession rules to provide for a non-traditional heir to succeed the throne, but as Charles is the Prince of Wales (crowned prince, essentially) and bearing no disqualification for the throne, when Elizabeth dies, he will king and Camilla will be the Queen Consort.
On the matter of Charles and Camilla’s marriage, Charles and Camilla are not disqualified for the throne. In the 1772 Royal Marriages Act, it requires members of the Royal Family to obtain the Sovereign’s permission to marry, and both Charles and Camilla and even William and Katherine received Queen Elizabeth’s permission to marry. The misconception lies in the abdication of Edward VIII because of his affairs with Wallis Simpson, and social attitudes about a monarch marrying a thrice divorced woman, would have caused the Parliament to resign and cause a constitutional crisis and so Edward VIII abdicated.
