Schmecker, a 50 year-old, honorably discharged Navy veteran with no criminal
past and no previous history of any mental disorder, had his gun permit revoked
and his guns forcefully confiscated by police without true cause or reasonable
justification.

odd, he had the veteran’s administration contact the local authorities to haul
David in for a “wellness check.”

is David A Schmecker. If possible, I’d like to get my story known to as many
people as possible.
this as brief as possible; I live in Connecticut, I’m 50 years old and I’m an
honorably discharged disabled NAVY veteran. I do not have a psychiatric past or
a criminal past.
2013, my veterans hospital primary care doctor called my home and heard a
message on my answering machine that he said sounded peculiar. The VA contacted
the local police to perform a “wellness check.”

away for a psychiatric evaluation at a local hospital. I submitted to their
forceful insistence under duress and fear of arrest or worse. I wasn’t
arrested, no crime was committed nor any threats were made to myself or others.

evaluation on my on recognizance. I have since attempted to use the courts and
attorneys to fight the revocation of my pistol permit. Then on top of
everything else, the bills from the short stay at the hospital and EMS bills
that they billed me, along with what I had to pay the attorney adds up to a
large amount of money.

I know veterans received letters about gun ownership, and I truly can see how the government is trying to unjustly demonize them. This guy says he went along with the cops, he allowed them in his house w/no warrant (so he says) he says “I will fight them another day) So he is getting his story out, if he wants to truly expose corrupt police, physicians, priest, why isn’t he giving the names of the people who supposably violated his rights, unlawfully searched his home, took his guns, basically kidnapped him for 72 hrs. Drugged him, held him for 72 hours against his will, his physician violating doctor/patient, and priest confidentiality. What was the name of the church he went too, name? Cops name, all the details. How is he fighting back if he isn’t exposing names. After watching a couple of the different interviews, things don’t seem to be adding up, there are several INCONSISTANCIES.
