The Rapture Explained

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” (1)

The Bible teaches that there will come a day when Christians will be taken off this earth to meet the Lord in the clouds (the rapture).  This is seldom debated.  What is debated is WHEN this will happen.  Some say it will happen before the tribulation, some say mid way through, and some say after the tribulation.  Where most of the difficulty in determining the “when” comes from is because the Bible teaches that Jesus will actually come twice.  The first time He will come FOR his saints and gather them from this earth to meet Him in the clouds, and the second time He will come WITH his saints and establish His Kingdom on this earth.   Because some Bible verses pertain to the rapture and others to His final coming, many inaccuracies occur when these verses are not applied to the proper event.

Now if you believe that He only comes once and that the rapture and Jesus’ final coming are one and the same event, then you would believe that Christians will be taken off this earth into the clouds, put on new robes, and come right back down with Jesus.  However, there are problems with that belief because the Book of Revelation says that the Antichrist will erect an image of the beast and a decree that  “all who refused to worship the image be killed.” (2)  He also forces everyone to take the mark (666).  Christians will do neither, therefore they will all be killed.   And if they are all killed, then there is no one left to rapture.  So the rapture could not possibly happen at that time.  And if it is one and the same event, then it also can’t happen at that time because Jesus is not coming back to establish His Kingdom at that time.

The rapture could happen even before the Tribulation begins, and it could happen right up to the time the Antichrist forces Christians to take the mark or be killed.   There is no specific time or events that must take place for the rapture to occur.  It can happen at any time until then and is not limited to pre-trib, mid-trib or any other trib.   And this is why it is difficult to determine when it will happen.  Nor is it necessary.   It is more important to be ready to meet the Lord whenever He comes, be it today, tomorrow, or next year.  Even Paul when writing to the Thessalonians told them not to concern themselves with trying to figure this out.   “Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.  While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” (3)

I could make this into a very long Bible study using many verses to prove one belief or another as some do, but in the end, it really doesn’t matter does it.  The fact remains that this event WILL HAPPEN and we should be more concerned about being ready to meet Jesus whenever He comes instead of trying to figure out WHEN He will come.  That day WILL come and we will get to meet Him in the clouds and be with Him forever and that is what we should be looking forward to.  And I believe that this is what the Bible teaches about the rapture and His coming.   If you want to make sure that you are ready to meet Him when He comes (which could even be today) Click Here.

It has never happened..not to anyone. Doesn’t mean it won’t…but be assured the circumstances under which it would occur would be extremely unusual – and I say will not occur under anything even remotely approaching normalcy…under situations of extreme duress only.

The “rapture” explained — there isn’t going to be any “rapture.” If there was, then the Church’s theologians would have already formed a consensus on the matter, and they haven’t and in fact have condemned it as nonsense. The “rapture” theory is nothing but Protestant heresy concocted to sell books and fleece and deceive the innocent.

          Matthew 13:41, Matthew 24:40-41

But the children of Hell, lie scumbag Jango, won’t listen to the true apostle Matthew or John. Those freaks of Hell are drawn in to join with the spirit of error, and their master false apostle sodomite Pharisee Paul is also of the spirit of error, Satan. Acts 23:6, Philippians 3:5 the sodomite Pharisee Paul makes it clear he is a Pharisee, and th son of a Pharisee. Christ says Pharisees are generational men of Hell in that they are the children who murdered God’s prophets (Matthew 23:31-32). Evil Pharisee Paul says he put to death people of Christ (Acts 22:4).

1 John 4:6 We are of God and he that knows God hears us and he that does not know God does not hear us. Hereby we know the spirit of truth from the spirit of error.

3 John 1:11 DO NOT FOLLOW THAT WHICH IS EVIL. HE THAT DOES EVIL HAS NOT SEEN GOD.

Romans 7:19 I DO EVIL, says the sodomite Pharisee Paul.

Do not be deceived by this article about the timing of the rapture.

See “RAPTURE ALERT: Millions of Christians have been deceived!”:

      /alternative/2013/02/rapture-alert-millions-of-christians-have-been-deceived-2561260.html

      • Apollo is the A/C

AM123 is correct. If not, ALL the Bible and Words of Christ are in error.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thes 2:11

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

Always Seven Trumpets (See Joshua 6:4,6,8,13 – Rev 8:2,6)

REV 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

        REV 11:15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

There are only 2 resurrections according to Jesus.

        What else did Jesus say?
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” REV 22:18

There is no secret Resurrection. There are 2 and it is plainly stated by Christ Himself:

REV 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the FIRST resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, and they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

(Jesus Praying to YHWH) “I pray NOT that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” John 17:15

We will not be taken until the last trumpet which sounds on the LAST DAY!!!

If some are taken before the last day, this makes Jesus is a liar!

And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of ALL which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the LAST DAY. John 6:39

This is so important, that in the same sermon Jesus repeats this THREE MORE TIMES!!!

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. John 6:40

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. John 6:44

Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. John 6:54

Martha was a good student!!! She thought her brother was dead and said…..

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the LAST DAY. John 11:24

        You WILL face the Tribulation:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Mt 24:21

When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, EVEN IN THE LATTER DAYS, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; Deut 4:30

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jn 16:33

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev 7:14

    • james

this will be a most fantastic event. the scripture says that all eyes will see & all ears will hear this. all those who take the 666 mark will not go. they get the wrath of god instead. you must resist the mark & believe in the son. it will be your final showing of who you remain true to.

    • Boxed in Freight

Is there any evidence in the scriptures to prove events such as this mass exodus has happened before?

Noah and his family were exited from the world by an ark which God told him to build and all other flesh was destroyed.

The Children of Israel were exited from Egypt when they were held as captive slaves.

Elijah the Prophet was suddenly taken by God into Heaven and he was seen no more on the earth.

The Holy Feasts which were given by G-d to the Jews describe a great wedding event and the bridegroom comes to take his bride away.

Jesus Himself came to the earth, died, and was resurrected from the dead, just like Paul describes in the scriptures happening to those who have died believing in Christ for salvation, “then we which are alive and remain will be caught up into the clouds to be with the Lord”, just like Elijah was caught up into the heavens.

So, yes there is evidence of an mass exit event such as this in scripture history.

Like the person writing this piece says, be ready always, because one never knows when the Bridegroom comes.

      • Boxed in Freight

There is also evidence in the scriptures that not only was Jesus resurrected that morning, there were other saints resurrected as well and they were seen walking around town by the residents.

Matthew 27:50-53 records, “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.”

    • Romach

The Text you employ to understand the “rapture” theory first proposed by Darby is flawed in that you have discounted the rest of scripture.

      1) The day of the Lord arrives like a thief in the night for those who do not understand the times and the seasons (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3) and for those who have not repented of their involvement with a false gospel or watched for his coming. Rev 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

      2) Those of us who are alive and remain DO NOT PROCEED (go before) The dead in Messiah. In other words the resurrection must have happened before we are caught up.

      3) He comes back with a shout and a trumpet blast. this is known as the Feast of Trumpets, it happens on the first day of the seventh month, it is a day that must be watched for because it is a new moon and no man knows what hour the new crescent is visible. . Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

      4) Apostle Jude Tells us that Messiah comes back with ten thousands of his holy ones ” To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

      5) Finally in That day “Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. Zech 14:3-4

My conclusions are that his return will be at some future Feast of Trumpets in which a resurrection of the first-fruits will occur and they will be commissioned to Judge and convict the unrighteous of their unrighteousness and to establish His Kingdom laws from Zion to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Something to consider, If you are not waling in righteousness now how will you be trusted to judge the unrighteous? Line upon line Precept upon precept.

      Grace & Peace,

      Romach.

      • Boxed in Freight

“2) Those of us who are alive and remain DO NOT PROCEED (go before) The dead in Messiah. In other words the resurrection must have happened before we are caught up. ”

Yes, I believe I alluded to this.

“Jesus Himself came to the earth, died, and was resurrected from the dead, just like Paul describes in the scriptures happening to those who have died believing in Christ for salvation, “then we which are alive and remain will be caught up into the clouds to be with the Lord”, just like Elijah was caught up into the heavens.”

“3) He comes back with a shout and a trumpet blast. this is known as the Feast of Trumpets, it happens on the first day of the seventh month, it is a day that must be watched for because it is a new moon and no man knows what hour the new crescent is visible. ”

It seems silly to be prepared for the Lord’s return all the rest of year if one knows exactly the time He is coming from the Holy Feasts. It seems more likely that the Feasts were given as a teaching rather than an exact timing of events.

Zech 14:3-4

        Triumphant victory!

Finally, the Great White Throne Judgment.

        • Truthseeker

          Boxed in freight;
you just quoted, Christ comes with 10,000′s of thousands, that is less then 100,000 Saints isn’t?

The millions the rapture folks claim are ah,, not involved.

The Great White Throne Judgment occurs after the 1000 years. That time is the 2nd resurrection when everyone that has ever lived and not had their opportunity for salvation are brought back to physical life. Eze. 37. What happens to the aborted, the kids that are killed, the billions of heathens that worship rocks and what ever. This is their time for judgment. It is the time of last Feast of God, the 7th of each year called The Last Great Day. it is also known as the 8 day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles is the 1000 year reign.

The Saints have been judged over their lives and are now Spirit.

As far as only a teaching, the Feasts are The day, Christ was killed as our Passover at the time the Passover lambs were killed, He was resurrected on the Sabbath not sunday, The Holy Spirit was given on the Day of Pentecost. Christ returns on The Feast of Trumpets, Satan is put away on the Day of Atonement. Christ rules for 1000 years the Feast of Tabernacles.

Main stream is lost keeping xmas and easter and sunday. Oh I forgot, the first resurrection is also the Feast of Trumpets.

The Rapture Explained… Its a lie from satan to cause christians to fall away when it dosent happen.
Christian dont get to run from the trib it dosent matter how much of a coward they are they have to stand and witness and help save souls thats their JOB given to them by GOD.

    • World Events and the Bible

Everyone has their own take don’t they? It’s interesting when Jesus said he would return to the Mount of Olives, and when he said he would establish His kingdom here on earth. Friends, you’re not flying away anywhere. You will be here for the tribulation you might as well get set for it. I have a study on this on my blog. Satan will come claiming to be Jesus Christ. The rapture lie leads you right into his wagon. Have you been taught the false one comes first?

    • Truthseeker

Just one thought, Jesus Christ has written in His word by many writers that those that endure until the end shall be saved and shine like 100 suns.

What do you think until the end means? The end of what? If you are truthful you will say until the end of the end times. The end times begin at the 5th Seal and end at the last of the 7 last plagues. As the 7th vial is poured out the Angels say “It is done”. The end time last for 3 1/2 years. Christ says His Saints will endure for 3 1/2 years here on earth.

If you escape the end times lasting 3 1/2 years — how is that enduring until the end??

God the Father and Jesus Christ are allowing trials and test to fall upon their Saints, their first fruits to refine them as pure gold. If you have none you are bastards. We are to gain the very character of God and that comes over time through trials and testing as all those of God have endured until this very day.

So you do not need any more trials, you do not need to endure until the end, Christ lied when He said “the righteous shall scarily be saved”. The blood of Jesus Christ that is suppose to cover you is not protection enough, you demand to be taken out of this world?
Here are the words of Jesus Christ:

John 17: 15 “I pray NOT that thou shouldest take (Lift, #142, Airo) THEM out of the world,
but that thous shouldest keep (watch over) them from the evil.”

But you are special, you get to escape the end times. Really?

      • Boxed in Freight

Show me where this verse is:

“Jesus Christ has written in His word by many writers that those that endure until the end shall be saved and shine like 100 suns. “

        • Truthseeker

If you will notice it says by many writers, that statement is a compilation. I went too far with the 100 suns, that does only belong to Christ.

Daniel 12: 3 ” and they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever,”

Matthew 13: 43 ” Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father”

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name sake but he the endureth to the end shall be saved. Also Matthew 24:13 and 13:13,

the point of the comment is God expect His Saints to endure until the end. The end is your death or the resurrection which ever comes first. The truth is those in the first resurrection will shine as the sun like their elder brother Jesus Christ but not as bright. The Creator is greater then the creation, so it is not at all wrong to think Christ is bright as 100 suns, He has created trillions and sustains them.
You are on the right track with God’s Feast days.

The comment this was in is a general comment to the whole group, lots of talk about a rapture which is a con of satan. The only thing God’s Church escapes is the Wrath of God.
The children of Israel were protected in their own homes from Gods Wrath on Egypt.
And so will we. Isaiah 26: 20, 21.

    • VEEKEN777

Thank you for a very exiting and open debate on what is the most important statement of a supernatural faith.

After all it is our blessed hope.

One point I desire to add concerning the interpretation of the “thief in the night”
It concerns the timing of the barley harvest. Scripture interprets itself but only when read and understood as a whole. This for me sadly is no longer understood by pure memory alone due to a personnel problem/ disability however I get led of the Spirit at time in my life to catalogue all of the important research of other inspired men of god and refer to it as time or needs dictate.

So here goes my limited understanding for what it is worth. Daniel gets given a mathematical time line that any bible student can grasp but only in context to the poetry of the language in its original meaning from the mind set of a Hebrew, for example:
Leviticus teaches of the dates and timing of the Calendar of the moon because it is more accurate for timing of Earth seasons.
Hence the new moon and temple watchmen connection.
Using the correct noun’s and symbolism in Prophecy when applied to the Feasts is simple to know.
Also is gods promise that he does nothing out side of his word and without consulting his prophets first. Paul not excluded and John in particular
Here is a link to the exact day to expect a Rapture could occur using the above method, and it is very accurate. http://www.danielstimeline.com/danielstimeline.html

      • desert owl

An interesting interpretation of Daniels 70 weeks on your link. The only obvious flaw in it is the fact that Daniel did not prophecy about Messiahs return, but his first appearance on earth up until the destruction of the second temple. The Messiahs reference to Daniels prophecy points to the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD which still was to come.

    • Mrs. Rhea White

Not only will the rapture not happen, the whole story about Jesus is nothing but the worship of the sun and pagan religions combined. People made graven images in the form of portraits and statues, as well as some human nailed to a cross, to hide their pagan religions behind. The New Testament was written up in order to reenforce the huge fraud perpetrated by misleaders in positions of influence.
When Christians finally realize how they have been deceived, the truth will be so hurtful, and at that time, it will be far too late. Christianity and Jesus are nothing more than humans clinging to beliefs. And Christrians are killing people all over the world, engaging in gay sexual activities, stealing, molesting children, and an assortment of many other evils and perversions that are supposed to be prohibited. Jesus said his followers would bear a certain fruit. Christians are drinking, using drugs, smoking, cheating on their spouses, constantly engaged in violence, racial hatred and corruption. I can hear someone say, all Christians are not like that. The real question is, then, how could Jesus allow his house, his bride, to be so divided, where the majority of Christians do not follow his teachings?

      • desert owl

@Mrs. Rhea White: your comment here testifies of worldly wisdom, general judgement and ignorance of scriptural truths. There is a big difference between the bride and the guests, just as there is an obvious difference between sheep and goats and wheat and tares.

      • Truthseeker

        R. White

If you are talking about the roman Catholic church and her daughters, you are correct.
Her daughters are those that rebelled and came out of her. But still observe the majority of her doctrine.

What the world does not understand, Jesus Christ did not come to build huge structures with assorted folks showing up from time to time all believing different doctrine and now and then, kill each other.

God chosen Saints are a very small flock, which is why Jude 14 gives the number of all those called by God the Father since Adam at under 100,000. Put your seat belt on as we are at the door of a time of trouble the world has never experienced. It is called the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. And you are correct the rapture is a ruptured doctrine.
