Video Of Life In Chicago: Store Clerk Beats Armed Robber’s *ss with sticks and chairs

As many of you may or may not know, a number of us Guns.com writers live in the glorious city of Chicago (and the heart of the gun debate).  If you haven’t been here, you should visit, Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  Just don’t bring your guns because they aren’t allowed right now. However, it looks like Chicago and the rest of Illinois will most likely have concealed carry privileges by the end of the year, but for now, us law abiding citizen of the Windy City are defenseless — exhibit a) the video below.

The two robbers, armed with a gun, intended to make some easy cash when they stepped into Quizhpe’s Gifts and Sports this afternoon. But inside was a store clerk who had been robbed before and was tired of the abuse.

In the video it shows the store clerk, 62-year-old Luis Quizhpe, and his brother-in-law doing everything in their power to fight off the two robbers. Although Quizhpe was struck in the leg with a bullet and had several shots fired at him, he and his bro probably did more damage to the assailants. The robbers were jabbed with an extension rod, smacked with a stool, bashed with a baseball bat, and knocked with a fire extinguisher.

“I thought [the gun] was a toy, but what made me frightened and really made me angry was when they grabbed my brother-in-law by the neck and they were pointing the gun at him,” Quizhpe, told the Chicago Tribune. “That’s when my blood boiled over.”
