All Atheists Should Read This

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

There are many people who consider themselves atheists.  They don’t believe in the existence of God.  I used to be one of them.  In fact I used to argue against the existence of God, the Bible, and anything to do with religion anytime the opportunity came up, and even when it didn’t.  I was a hard core atheist.  Then one day at a party, during one of my rants, someone said to me “You argue so strongly against the Bible but you have all your facts wrong, have you ever read it?”  I said “Well, yea sort of, a bit here and there but not all of it.”   And they said “So how do you know what you are talking about?”

And I knew they had me.  They put me in my place.  I had nothing more to say.  I couldn’t argue with that and I had been publicly shamed and exposed as someone just full of hot air without any knowledge of what I was talking about.  This made me very angry, but I knew they were right.  I had no facts to back up what I was saying, just an opinion.  So then and there I said to myself “I’ll fix them, I’ll read the Bible and equip myself with facts to back up my arguments and then I’ll show them that I’m right.”

So that’s what I did.  I started reading the New Testament and made notes along the way that I could use in my arguments.  But the more I read, the more questions I had, and the more I learned about Jesus, the more I saw that he was a pretty good guy.   He never hurt anyone, he just wanted to help people.  He healed them, he fed them, he taught them, and he promised them that he would prepare a place in heaven for all those that believed in him.  This was not at all what I expected.

After reading the first four gospels, I stopped reading the bible and decided to prove that it wasn’t true.   So I spent the next 7 years reading every kind of occult book I could lay my hands on.  Channeling, transcendental meditation, ufo’s, reincarnation, I read them all.  I was searching for something that would explain why man was on this earth and where he was headed after death.  But nothing satisfied me, nor did it make any sense.   All I was reading was someone’s opinion and every writers opinion differed from the other writers opinion.   Who was I supposed to believe?  And where did they get all this knowledge of the unknown from?   Just like someone writing books on interpreting dreams.   Heck, I could write that too.  It’s just an opinion.

Well, to make a long story short, after that 7 year period, I started reading the Bible again and soon after that came to the conclusion that there was a God, the Bible was the true Word of God, and Jesus was who He said He was, the Son of God who came to die for our sins.  So I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and to be my mentor, guide, teacher, and friend, and my life has never been the same since.  In fact it’s been awesome.  I’ve had my ups and downs but all in all, I have peace, love, and joy in my heart and Jesus has been the best and truest friend I have ever had and He has helped me a lot in my life.

So why should all atheists read the Bible?   Because most of them haven’t.   The are like I was, just full of an opinion that they think is right without knowing what the Bible teaches.  So why not read it and see for yourself.  Find out first hand what the Bible says.  Because if you read the comments on BIN, or listen to what atheists say against God or the Bible, you can see that they don’t have a clue what the Bible teaches.   That’s why their arguments are so ridiculous.  Just like mine were before that man put me in my place.  So I say to all atheists:  Read the New Testament.   Then at least you will know what you are talking about when you make comments or talk about the Bible.  And who knows, maybe after reading it you will find that Jesus really is a pretty nice guy that you would like to get to know better.

Jango lifts up himself not Christ. So he says he read the testimony of Christ and decided to be evil, then comes back Christ??? Jango never came to Christ, he thinks he knows Christ but he does not. Instead, the fool child of Hell Jango became a convert to the doctrine of the false apostle Paul and he is a bible idolator. There are 21 writings of Pharisees in New Testament section of all four bibles (Orthodox, Ethiopian, Protestant and Catholic). Only the one writing of Matthew and five writings of John are of God, the rest of the NT section are of Pharisees, including non-apostles Mark and Luke, and the writings of Peter which are actually writings of Pharisees forged under Peter’s name.

The evil Jango child of Hell is a proponent of the grace bs doctrine of the self-proclaimed 13th apostle of Christ, Paul, who is a Pharisee. Evil doers become good people by giving up evil deeds. Those who are not doing evil deeds are already right with God. As Christ says, he came to call sinner to repent, not the righteous (Matthew 9:13). But the false apostle says grace means you can do evil and still be of God, as he says he does evil, serves sin in his flesh, but delights in God’s law in his mind (Romans 7:19, 7:23, 7:25). Delight in what he calls DEATH written in stone (2 Corinthians 3:7). Only morons follow the false apostle Paul.

To atheist, God says only a fool says there is no God. The only atheists I ever heard of who then say they believe in God are those who become proponents of the false apostle Paul, like the moron Jango. Those followers of Paul will be among the many who Christ sends to Hell. They say – we did many wonderful works in your name, cast our demons and prophesied in your name. Sounds good, right – like these people are of God? But Christ says to them, I never knew you, depart from me workers of iniquity. See Matthew 7:22-23.

Do not be surprised that in all bibles, men of Satan put in their writings with writings that are of God. Bibles are much less than the Temple of God and men of Satan sat in the seat of Moses (Matthew 23:2).

Shut up heretic. The “evil Pharisee” Paul has lead way more people to the Lord than you ever will. You probably haven’t read the Bible yourself. If you had, you’d see that Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles. Jesus died for my sins, but His Gospel of the Kingdom differs from Paul’s because the Gospels are actually Old Testament books (Hebrews 9:16-17). Are you a Jew living in Judea circa 31 AD? If not, shut up.

and here comes the hilariously named “Pharisees.org,” pretending as hard as he or she can to have some strong disliking of pharisees, all while being the absolute, hands-down biggest pharisee on BIN.

at times i think he/she is just an expert troll, but there’s just no way someone could possibly troll THIS expertly. there’s got to be something more going on here.

I read somewhere that it is impossible to be an atheist. Because in NOT believing in a god you have actually confessed that there must be a god.

I always thought atheist were people who hate god so I was not too far off the mark.

In another words it’s just another immature thought of a liberal. They say, I will hurt god by telling Him I don’t or won’t believe in Him.

Many liberals are highly capable of immature thought. Communist, socialism are backward immature way of social inequality.

Look at many on the left and examine their public speech or writings and you’ll see a lot of childish snide remarks, name-calling, and unsophisticated nanny, nanny, boo-boo stuff.

wherever you read that, it wasnt in a dictionary… here…

Noun: atheist: Someone who does not believe in god; someone who believes that no deities exist

see that second bit… someone who believes that no deities exist, kinda conflicts with your illogical statement “Because in NOT believing in a god you have actually confessed that there must be a god.”

“I always thought atheist were people who hate god so I was not too far off the mark. ”

you couldnt be any further away … i hope im a liberal. because if not being a liberal means thinking like you, i couldnt think of anything that would be worse.

“Look at many on the left and examine their public speech or writings and you’ll see a lot of childish snide remarks, name-calling, and unsophisticated nanny, nanny, boo-boo stuff.”

wow… youre probably too stupid to see the moronic irony of that last sentence.

although the first Anonymous phrased it rather inaccurately, i believe he was referring to what is often called “the ontological argument” for God’s existence. any first year philosophy student would tell you that it is indeed a formidable argument, although many would say it’s by no means insurmountable.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr36HID62wM

there’s a bit of a primer on the ontological argument.

here is philosopher Alvin Plantiga’s variation on the argument, known at the “modal ontological” argument:

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQPRqHZRP68

          it is considered extremely persuasive.

here’s another way of looking at it, Anonymous #2: try to think of something that *doesn’t* exist. let me know what that thing is. i’d bet you can’t, because anything you come up with will end up being a composite of things that already exist. for example, “pink elephants” would be a composite of two things that do, indeed, exist – elephants and the color pink.

so, what Anon #1 is saying is a bit more profound than to warrant your casual, out of hand dismissal.

        • StraightDopes

          also, Anon #2:

it seems the last sentence of your own comment proved Anon #1′s final assertion to be correct.

          that’s kind of funny

    • Love Ya

i sometimes wonder why some believe in Yahuwah and others don’t. i have always felt that there is a Father above with us. it is a feeling i am sure of. maybe our Creator doesn’t give this feeling to everyone. maybe some don’t let Him in to their life. also, there are many opinions on biblical truth. i can’t figure this out either. i read the bible and see the truth clearly spelled out. how can one argue truth? like red is red. no confusion with red. baptism means immersion. that is the truth of it. the 7th day sabbath. clear as a bell. oh well, i wish you all peace and happiness on your chosen paths.

      • StraightDopes

if you don’t mind my offering my own thoughts here, Love Ya:

yes, the manifest beauty and design of creation is said in Scripture to leave us with no excuse (Rom 1:19-20). which is not to say that many people don’t *try* to explain Him out of existence, but they must engage is all sorts of sophistry in order to make the idea of creation apart from a Creator sound even remotely plausible. never mind the fact that, if we were to accept the idea that all of life is just the result of a long series of chance accidents, we are left with the problem that we are relying on our brains, which are the final product of that long series of random, chance accidents and are merely 3 pounds of chemical interactions (as far as we can tell), to postulate as to how it came to be. it’s beyond logically unsound – it’s completely ridiculous. how can the product of a long series of chance accidents possibly determine with any degree of accuracy how it came to be?? it’s asinine – and that’s probably the most generous thing that could be said of such an idea.

as for what the Bible says about baptism and the sabbath – yes, it’s quite clear that baptism in Scripture is done by full immersion. but are you saying that baptism is a prerequisite for Salvation? if so, i’d have to strongly disagree with you, and am prepared to argue the point. and, as for the sabbath, i’d refer you to this excellent debate on the topic:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdfeMkgqgrQ

i’d say Mr. Rosebrough had the correct position, and won the debate hands-down (though i admittedly am a bit biased).
