4 Arrested In London Beheading: May Have Al Qaeda Ties

23 May 2013 Last updated at 14:49 ETPolice said they arrested two more people in a London terror probe after the U.K. government identified the 25-year-old soldier who was killed in an attack outside an army barracks on Wednesday.

Lee Rigby, a drummer in the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was the soldier killed by two men wielding knives and meat cleavers, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement. Police said they arrested a man and a woman, both 29, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Two other men, age 22 and 28, were arrested at the scene yesterday after being shot by officers and are suspected of killing the soldier.

“There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act,” Prime Minister David Cameron told reporters outside his London office today after a meeting of the Cabinet’s emergency committee, the second in less than 24 hours. The blame “lies purely with the sickening individuals who carried out this attack.” morehere
