Obama Empowers DHS to Use Local Gov & Corporations for Their Own “Priorities”

Just last week, President Obama signed yet another executive order; this one empowering the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to utilize local governments and private sector corporations for the expressed purposes of “[supporting] homeland security priorities.”

Obama’s aim to expand DHS control over local governments to allocate resources, efficiently usurp individual innovation for the success of the federal government. In this way, DHS can be sent into a situation (whether natural disaster or terroristic prevention) and have at their disposal “diverse perspectives, skill, tools and resources.”

Using the National Security Strategy (NSS) document provided to the Congress by the executive branch, Obama asserts that “we must tap the ingenuity outside government through strategic partnerships with the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, foundations, and community-based organizations. Such partnerships are critical to U.S. success at home and abroad, and we will support them through enhanced opportunities for engagement, coordination, transparency, and information sharing.”

This approach ensures the Nation’s security as the details are based on the institutionalization of all US assets whether they are corporate, governmental, individual, etc . . .

In 2010, the Obama administration released a NSS report that advised the US “strengthen international institutions by taking UN treaties seriously in order to ensure allies and partnerships are used to alleviate “international problems”. This document reinforces Obama’s focus on global cooperation and the inception of security partnerships with the international community for improving national security. Education, clean energy, scientific research and healthcare are all issues that Obama believes can be better handled through working with the UN.

Obama asserts that the US Armed Forces “will always be a cornerstone of our security”; however, “our security depends on diplomats who can act in every corner of the world … development experts who can strengthen governance and support human dignity.”

The US will use “developing efforts” in other nations, such as the Global Health Initiative (GHI) that will fund pharmacological answers to diseases. Food security will focus on acquisition on agrregateable lands in foreign nations for the utilization of agricultural technologies.

The White House Homeland Security Partnership Council (HSPC) will create these “partnerships between the Federal Government and the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, foundations, community-based organizations, and State, local, tribal, and territorial government and law enforcement” for the use of the DHS.

John Brennan, being Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, would chair the HSPC. Those assigned to the HSPC would be “federal officials chosen from “executive departments, agencies and bureaus”; as well as members of the Steering Committee – such as:

• Stephen Lowe, USDA
• James Kwolek, DoD
• James Dalton, US Army Corps of Engineers
• TheAnne Gordon, EPA
• Don Cotter, DHS
• Raphael Bostic, HUD
• Jimmy Amoako-Atta, US Treasury
• Dat Tran, Veterans Affairs
• Adrian Garder, NOAA
• Darren Ash, NRC
• Lew Sanford, SSA

The members of the Steering Committee, by direction of the HSPC will make sure that local policy is institutionalized for the assurance of DHS goals and priorities.

The coercive measures taken by the Steering Committee will include:

• Advising how to ensure DHS priorities are first and foremost
• Collaborate US government agencies and local governments
• Utilize private sector corporations and investors
• Use pro-governmental propaganda to gain public support
• Use non-governmental organizations, foundations, law enforcement and federal agencies

In July, Obama gave DHS authority to govern communications such as telephone and internet systems when an emergency is declared. Anne Stephanovich, lawyer for the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) explained that the DHS has all encompassing “authority to seize control of telecommunications facilities, including telephone, cellular and wireless networks, in order to prioritize government communications over private ones in an emergency.”

DHS, along with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), have been using technological “weapons” against the American public with increasing intensity. With the development of ECHELON – whether blanket spying or eavesdropping, the intelligence community could sit back covertly and mine for data without detection.

The DHS and Simon Properties have collaborated on the See Something, Say Something campaign, but also may have a sinister agenda. DHS has created relationships with representatives with Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, and National Football League.

Janet Napolitano, Secretary of DHS explains that “we’re all safer when everyone is alert and engaged” and she wants the American public to spy on each other because our continued safety is “a shared responsibility”.

The continued empowerment of DHS by the Obama administration exemplifies the overreaching development of our US government into a vehicle for total submission by the people of America to a dictator; setting the stage of the next US President to announce complete control over our Constitutional Republic.
