The Lame Cherry blog confirms my suspicion that the outing of the IRS targeting scandal was to distract from Benghazi

The uncharacteristic voluntary admission by
the IRS that it was targeting patriot groups seemed so out of character to me
that I figured it had to be a desperate smokescreen to pull attention from
the burgeoning Benghazi Massacre revelations.

The irrepressible Lame Cherry blog has now
presented a more detailed description of an even more elaborate scenario that
even ties into the Boston bombings. Do you remember that they were first
going to blame that on tax protesters, before the narrative got away
from them?

Bachmann has also charged that the IRS scandal was fronted to down-pedal
Benghazi, but Lame Cherry’s version is much juicier.)

The regime first went to Steve Jobs and Apple, but they turned the program
creation down. This is tied into Mark Zuckerberg and the data mining taking
place at Face Book.

That is what was behind the IRS exposure. Obama knew it was coming from
illegal wire taps and got ahead of it to use it to deflect from Benghazi. The
regime is chewing off its limbs to save itself from the control.
