America is governed by sociopaths. It took me awhile to figure it out but I kept digging until it started to make sense. We throw around so many different terms and phrases in America that, truth be told, we really don’t have an understanding of what things mean.

In fact, often the words and phrases that others use do no not mean what we think they mean.

I wrote Change the Words, Change the World a few years ago and I think if is worth the read if you haven’t had the chance to digest it previously.

Words Have Meaning is another one I wrote about six years ago and I think it will open your eyes as well. Sorry if it seems like self-promotion, but I think it will help you understand the manipulation that is occurring in this nation.

Back to the sociopaths. You may have heard the word before, but do you really understand what a sociopath is? I didn’t, so I decided I should do a little research. It made America’s political situation a little clearer to me.

A sociopath is defined as “a person with a psychopathic personality whose behavior is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.”

At first glance two words popped out at me…”antisocial” and “criminal.” In the mind of the average reader that would eliminate most people that they come in contact with. The words anti-social and criminal are so extreme that we are led to believe that sociopaths come only in freaks like Charles Manson and Rev. Jim Jones, who gave us the term “drinking the kool-aid” because of the things he was able to convince others to do.

Don’t forget, words have meaning, and both antisocial and criminal, are not a one-size-fits all description. Not all criminals are blatant law-breakers and not all antisocial people are difficult to get along with.

Antisocial simply means “being or marked by behavior deviating sharply from the social norm.” You see, it is possible to be anti-social and pleasant. I always thought it meant that you were unable to get along with others.

But not true. Being anti-social simply means you do not operate within regular societal norms. The average human being still has a functioning conscience. Sociopaths do not. Sociopaths are incapable of feeling guilt or remorse. That is what makes them anti-social.

#2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn’t do. They are unbound by normal social contracts. Their behavior often seems irrational or extremely risky.
