One could credibly make the argument that this type of drug has the highest potential for addiction, has had the most deadly impact on chronic drug users and has been the most “soul robbing” drug out there today.

We have seen thousands of “before and after” pictures of people who have succumbed to the deadly chronic phase of the addiction.

The pictures of people are disturbing to say the very least. “Meth mouth”, open sore faces, and the look of death is all to common in meth addicts today.

If this is how they look on the outside, we can only imagine the internal destruction and breakdown they are experiencing on the inside.

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive drug, whether injected, snorted or smoked, that affects the brain and central nervous system. Methamphetamine increases levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which stimulates brain cells, enhancing mood and body movement.

Use of Meth amongst Nazi Soldiers

Apparently, the German government thought this drug could be of some “positive” use for the Nazi soldiers during World War II.

In 2005, a report surfaced by Der Spiegel, a war writer, implying that the soldiers in combat were pumped daily with this drug, often intravenously.

Could this explain the vile and sadistic acts that were carried out by this military? Some would have a fairly convincing argument to support such a claim.

The effects of this drug are often known to be all consuming. People today, who had vibrant lives, successful careers, loving families, are selling their bodies on the streets to maintain their habit, often without remorse.

This proves how powerful and mind-altering the drug is. I have a gut feeling that the German government knew exactly what they were doing as they distributed this drug to their troops.

Many claim that Hilter himself was a serious crystal meth addict and was using the drug heavily for the last two years of his life. He apparently injected the drug up until his suicide.

The use of this highly addictive drug did not go without side effects. Soldiers were becoming heavily addicted and were showing signs of severe dependence.

Some had even committed suicide during a psychotic episode, likely brought on by the chronic use of this drug.

Long-term use of methamphetamines in any form will result in psychosis, delusions, insomnia, mood disturbances, violent behavior and severe paranoia. These symptoms appear relatively quickly and will only become worse as the disease of addiction progresses.
