Colorado Town Considers Licensing Bounty Hunters To Shoot Down Drones

(Before It's News)

The tiny town of Deer Trail, Colo. — barely more than a wide spot on Interstate 70 about 55 miles east of Denver, population 546 — is considering an ordinance that would authorize licensed bounty hunters to shoot down unmanned aircraft violating its “sovereign airspace.”

A six-page petition circulated by a resident says that the threat of surveillance from drones — regardless of who is piloting them — is a threat to “traditional American ideas of Liberty and Freedom” enjoyed by Deer Trail’s “ranchers, farmers, cowboys and Indians, as well as contemporary citizens.”

Therefore, drone incursions are to be seen as acts of war.

This is how the second civil war will come about.  Just like how the first one started.  Political differences.  What one consids a freedom, the other considers a violation.  Just like the issues of yesterday, people are fied up about today’s issues.  Our current fedral government has seen fit to keep a close watch on its citizens for something it started.(war on terror)  They have limited our freedom greatly.  Not so much in a physical ay per say but more like a paranoia way.  The government has managed to bottle its shep by precision strikes of arrests and such to keep the rest of us in line.  Then the implement things like the NDAA, Patriot Act and tell us its for our own good and safety.  About a 1/3rd of this county disagrees wth that.  A 3rd of Americans disagreed in 1776 too.

As I’ve said befoe, a state of civil war exists already on the poitical front.  States and towns and counties are passing laws that nullify or defy federal laws.  -Mort

Good for the people of Deer Trail, Colorado!
Real patriots. If only the rest of America considered something like this.

Sweet, more targets to practice on!

I like the attitude! The government’s goal is armed drones to intimidate American citizens. They started with unarmed drones to get citizens used to them. They intend to arm them when they think they can get away with it.

This is unacceptable to free citizens!

The government has abused every privilege it’s been given: Surveillance, tasers, secrecy, international trade, etc… If ARMED drones start appearing in our skies, IT’LL BE TIME FOR REVOLUTION!

Not good enough. Make it open season. Anyone should be able to shoot them not just liscenced bounty hunters.

Hey Mort, Perhaps you could use a lesson on history as it actually happened instead of what’s been barfed up on us. The first U.S. Civil War was not about political differences – and I’m assuming here you mean the issue of slavery. Slavery had nothing to do with it. That Civil War was a result of southern cotton growers selling and shipping their cotton to England where they got a better price than what the northerners were willing to pay. The whole deal was a money issue – like what’s new there eh? Thought I’d point this out to you. Cheers for Deer Trail.

 Yayyyyyyy :!: :!: :!: I agree whole heartedly with what “wowchaz” said. This ain’t no damn “war against terror”. It’s A WAR AGAINST THE TREASONOUS TYRANTS in D.C. ! ! ! Those sorry bastards ain’t worth the powder it’d take to flip a friggin’ dime, let alone hangin’ em’ by the neck until dead. ! ! ! May they all rot in hell, the whole damn bunch of em’.
