Pete Santilli; “…Never bring Skittles to a gunfight…”  On it’s face, the comment is almost offensive, but when you look at the complexities leading to the wrongful prosecution of the Zimmerman / Treyvon case, one has to recognize that the entire justification for the persuit of “justice” for Treyvon Martin was based on a false facade.

The Police Chief in Florida easily determined early on that there was no evidence to warrant arresting George Zimmerman.  the evidence and eyewitness testimony indicated from the very beginning, and in the end, in front of a jury, that George Zimmerman was defending himself from Treyvon Martin.

Despite these facts and indisputable evidence, the media absorbed a hollywood script and Madison Avenue styled marketing images to sell a different picture of the truth to a jury of public opinion.  Colorful bags of Skittles; thirst quenching and refreshing fruity beverages, and an innocent baby-faced headshot of the deceased at 14 years old.   All of these tactics were designed to manipulate the minds of the public, but thankfully, the jury in the court room were presented with reality, and regardless of the outcome, justice was served based on real known facts and evidence.

The jury in the courtroom were witness to forensic analysys of retrieved text messages to Treyvon Martin negotiating a gun deal with his hoodlum father —- the public was subjected to loving tweets.

The public were subjected to Al Sharpton website images and Jamie Foxx t-shirts on BET of Treyvon Martin at 14 years of age — the jury observed current-day images of Treyvon smoking blunts, flashing gang signs and real images of Treyvon’s crime scene photo.

The jury was prsented with evidence, the law and reality —- Treyvon Martin government marketing handlers concocted a Hollywood styled image and ficticious script, demanding real justice based on their fake story.

A jury determined that Treyvon Martin was shot by George Zimmerman in self defense.  Lawfully.

US Gov’t activists brought a bag of Skittles to a gun fight they knew they never had a chance of winning with reality.
