I was wondering what happened to this video. After taking a second look, it appears to be CGI to me. There are many things about the house, snow, footsteps, that don’t look real.
As far as the ship itself though, I’m sure there are many different types. That one looks really slick, even if it’s CGI.
Because he is trying to see, if there is more to see! If I saw this, I too would be panning to see if there were more of them close by. I guess you could say he is being thorough.
