Obama Signs Executive Order On Communications

It was just over a year ago that Obama signed an Exective Order on communications, titled Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communication Functions .  He placed  himself in control through the Department of  Homeland Security at Section 2.3. That Executive Order was signed on July 7, 2012. It has taken time for this to show up in our real world, but now it has.

In early April, Verizon began a Emergency Wireless Alert system through cell phones, iPhones, Blackberries and other devices . At first they have just been alerts on weather, such as possible flooding and other storms.  Scroll down to #14 on the Emergency Wireless link and you will see that you can end Amber Alerts on the disappearances of people or children and Imminent Danger Alerts for weather, but not Presidential alerts.

Don’t get excited thinking you are on an AT&T cell phone or other wireless device, as the same thing applies. AT&T is a bit more specific, in saying they send out FEMA alerts on weather but once again “You cannot opt out of Presidential Alerts”. AT&T does not have a separate link to their devices, but a drop down on the main link above.

“1984″ With A Twist

In George Orwell’s book, and subsequent movie titled 1984, he had no idea that the telescreen which ‘Big Brother’ used to watch and record would be replace one day by the cell phone, iPhone or Blackberry of today. 

There really are no secure communications  to type, call, or message anyone without the government or corporations (but, I repeat myself, all are corporations) listening in. Only face to face conversations have a chance of being private in our society.  Did I say type?  Yes, the post office is photographing all letters before they are  delivered.

They track every website you visit (even your computer), every e-mail you send, and every conversation you send by any electronic method. They can track your cell phone, or any device that still has the battery installed. Stay away from any device that the battery can not be removed like an iPhone.
