Radio and television host Glenn Beck is now going public with his belief the United States is among the famous “Lost 10 Tribes of Israel,” and America today is suffering calamaties just as ancient Israel did due to its disobedience to the laws of God.
Echoing the conclusions of some experts who have delved deeply into what’s known as the theory of “Anglo-Israelism” or “British-Israelism,” Beck took viewers of his TV show into a biblical history lesson dating back to the time after King David of the Old Testament, when the once united kingdom of Israel became divided.
“Israel was split into two kingdoms, the northern kingdom and the southern kingdom,” Beck explained.
Many people don’t realize that ancient Israel (the northern kingdom) actually went to war against the Jews (the southern kingdom) over many years. Four Books of the Bible, 1 and 2 Kings as well as 1 and 2 Chronicles, document the separate national histories of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah.
Beck explained that eventually, God warned the rebellious northern kingdom to stop its sinning, or else face disaster.

“Stolen” is not the correct term, but ‘taken’ is close. Beck may have gotten much of this information from the book you mentioned, yet the book’s source material is from the 18th and 19th century British Israelite movement in Britain.
Everything we write on any topic must first be learned somewhere, so claiming that Beck stole this is misleading. It would be a good thing were he to better accredit his sources, but doing that is an academic courtesy. Should one truly give credit to every source, all books would have a thousand footnotes. By looking at it on a much smaller scale and then using that study to explain things nationally seems to bring to light many truths. A smaller community will do many of the same irrational moves that are going on today, nationally. By studying on a small scale, this gives the student of criminal cultures an unexpected realization of uncanny parallels that are now taking place in the sense of the behavior of the leading characters and various gangs, (politicians, the judicial, parties etc,, etc,,) on the small stage vs nationally.
