New Scandal Rocks U.S. House Intelligence Committee
Jerry Robinson: Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) has violated his oversight mandate and should resign immediately
(FTMDaily.com) Leaders of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee, under the oversight of Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), are under fire after fresh allegations that the committee members withheld an NSA document from non-committee members prior to a vote on whether to renew the atrocious (and unpatriotic) Patriot Act in the Spring of 2011. The document, which reportedly was created by the U.S. intelligence community and the Department of Justice, was created to provide crucial information on the government’s vast snooping programs for Congressional leaders who were not members of the House Intelligence Committee.
This latest revelation, which was first reported on by the Guardian, exposes the deep failure of the leadership of the House Intelligence Committee in holding America’s intelligence community accountable. As the leader of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Rep. Mike Rogers is charged with oversight of virtually the entire U.S. intelligence community, including the following executive branch departments and agencies:

If the allegations are true that Rep. Mike Rogers withheld key information from his fellow members of Congress prior to a vote on the re-authorization of the Patriot Act, he has betrayed his oversight mandate and should resign immediately.
By withholding this key document detailing the NSA’s bulk phone records collection program, the House Intelligence Committee leadership submerged the intimate details of the government’s tyrannical snooping operations against the American public from the majority of Congressmen. Everyday it seems this department or that department is “ROCKED” by yet another mind blowing scandal. Allegations are levied that could put people away for life. Some so severe that even the death penalty could be invoked. But everyday passes and I see or hear of no one being indicted, arrested or sentenced. Where is the breakdown? Overwhelming facts have come to light that are so damning that immediate arrests should follow. I am beginning to believe that whenever another scandal comes to light, it is not the government or even the accused department that is “ROCKED” but the American people. We’ve been so “ROCKED” these last few years that one could say we are being stoned to death. Bias, secretive agendas, corruption, corrupt judges, ridiculous court rulings inept or criminal politicians and complete disregard for the truth and the intellectually stunted people of this country tend to make me think that things will never get better because it’s so f**#ed now it cannot be fixed. The United States is a runaway train careening down a mountain totally out of control. And the screeching sounds you hear. Those aren’t brakes, the train doesn’t have any. The screeching sound are the few passengers that aren’t believing the conductor when he say’s “everything will be okay.” We’re screwed seven ways to Sunday anyway you look at it.

May I suggest the title ‘Hang them all’ as the Constitution requires redress for the grievances of the people. That includes all the people of the earth and maybe elsewhere.
Who is going to complain, the millions upon millions of Americans currently on food stamps and welfare because congress sent all of our jobs overseas through NAFTA? How about the vast data collection of all members of congress, with the NSA knowing every dirty little secret of both houses and the judiciary? America has been captured – the three count has already occured, we are prisoners.

I am so sick and tired of all the congressional hearings/dog and pony shows that drag on and on with no results. The people taking the 5th and being punished with PAID administrative leave, the other guilty ones get honored, promotions to even higher levels of this corrupt government, while the brave whistleblowers get demotions, excoriated, and threats to themselves and their families. They all think they are above the law and it’s sad to say but they get away with it. I try to find little rays of optimism though. I am a firm believer in “what goes around, comes around”. I only wish that justice for these criminals would “come around” sooner rather than later.

Things are very corrupt, and it took decades of corruption to get into this ever worsening mess. Hate to rain on anybody’s parade more, but, given the level of leadership here, and in the world, what do you think the chances are of avoiding nuclear conflict? The past 100 years or so, mankind has just engaged in more and more frequent and heinous wars, as weapons became more powerful, but the brain power hasn’t kept up with the technology. We’re about due for another big one. If we have less integrity and just common sense to avoid various disasters now, what chance does the world have the next time the psychos-that-be get a macho bug up their butts against each other, over something like Syria?

Where are we headed, when, say, 35% of the world’s population needs 150% of the energy?

And nobody would vote for a presidential candidate who told the truth: it’s pie in the sky, at no cost, or they wouldn’t stand a chance. So? You’ll only vote for liars. I think we need to take our dumbed-down faces and look in the mirror, when we go on these blame assessing binges. The people always had the ballot box and hardware stores with pitchforks, it’s just that football and Dancing with the Stars is more important, right? I’d really like to see where all the “awake and paying attention” people are. I don’t personally know anybody who’s upset over anything or gathering together to march on Washington. Is there an uproar out there nobody can see or something?

That seems to be my findings, and it will only get worse the more people keep smoking it! They stay in a simi state zombies, brain not firing on all cylinders state, though controlled as to hide the fact their high, it also causes their judgment to be distorted, and lies easily believed for the truth! That’s what has happened, and if you look at the correlation between the mind set now, than that of our parents time, it seems to be that, it is the main difference for the difference, as far as time and availability. From fewer people smoking, to way more than then, it seems to be in direct proportion to it use, and time of exposure to the masses! Therefore, the reason,there’s way more more dumb asses!
Very interesting. I don’t use drugs or hang out with people who do, though it was around years ago when I was in school. Are people using marijuana a lot these days, I mean not kids, but adults? This could very well explain a lot of apathy, but I live in a smaller, conservative town and don’t see this, but, again, not that I would. Or put it this way, would you say it’s an epidemic, at large?
